Good job for a man made island!

The fact that denarau island is a man-made island, they made it beautiful. not the best white sandy beach but it is good. Water is so warm.

Denarau island does not have a beach - it has a mud flat with an enormous sea wall.... but if you want a muddy strip leading into brown water, then it's ideal.

I do not recommend going to Denarau for the beach. The sand is a greyish colour, it's not that picturesque and it doesn't seem that relaxing. While we were there no-one used the beach. Your hotel pool will be infinitely more appealing.

To call it Denarau Beach is perhaps an exageration. To the North side (fronting the Hilton) it is a mud flat, with dark silt masquerading as sand. It is not pleasant at all). Around the point (which has the Chapel on it, and a rock outcrop) things do improve a little, although the sand it poor quality and the waves... More

There is nothing appealing or tropical island allure to this beach. Dirty, gritty and disappointing. Check out the coral coast, or islands for nicer beaches.

No real beaches, ugly brown, ugly water. Liked the people. These beaches were originally mangroves that were reclaimed. For the kind of beach experience we dreamed of you have to take spendy tours to the outer islands.

If you think you are getting the post card perfect travel brochure shots of sugar sand beaches in Fiji by coming to this beach, you will be sadly disappointed. Not trashy by any measure … the resorts make sure everything is still nice, but grey if not almost black sand is what you get here, with water that looks like... More

We drove to this beach and accessed it through a hotel. It isnt really a swimming beach, although we did swim in it, the water is calm and flat. It was worth going to and visiting!!

Just nothing like being on the islands or on the coral coast for clean water and beautiful beaches.. first thing we all noticed as a family was we couldnt see anything in the water from the kayaks, the sand is just dirty and its just not paradise... Stick to the resort for clean and beautiful waters!

Run of the mill resorts beach not for swimming good as a stop over before heading to an island would not recommend for a longer holiday.
