The Cook Islands are renowned for their prestine white sandy beaches, lush green mountainous terrain and warm tropical climate. The best way to take in this landscape is from the sea, so come for a sail on the only surveyed charter yacht in Rarotonga. On the cruise you may see whales, sharks or turtles (seasonal).Looking for fun and adventure come with us on the 58ft yacht Southern Cross and we can take you sailing on the deep blue waters of this island paradise. We can cater for groups up to 25. Private charters can also be arranged.(hen, stag, wedding, corporate).Outer island charters also available.

Great cocktails, great view, great service, great food

We had one of our favourite fish meals on the Island here. The game fish Trio main course was amazing! Relaxed atmosphere and environment looking out over the lagoon.

Experience absolutely forgettable. We try to take contact with the manager, Keith after long adventures, he never answers to e-mail, we had to call him (with expensive overseas calls) several times to have an answer. We planned an expedition to Suwarrow and Palmerston, at our arrival it says that Suwarrow was too far away and we just arrive till Palmerston... More

True communication was awkward they were in NZ I phoned several times ,they phoned several times ,I explained it was only a possibility of travel due to the weather and Sussarow was unlikely, they had time restraints i couldn't adhere to . I met with them here and tried to organize another boat which apparently was to expensive for them.... More

In late June 2014 we were fortunate to have an afternoon cruise on Eastern Star. It was a beautiful day with little wind so no great need for sails. This cruise is well worth doing just to sit back and relax and look back from the sea to take in the beautiful island views and the absolutely lovely clear water.... More

This review is re the inter-island motor-sailing trip Sail Rarotonga / Pacific Expeditions (Graham Wragg) made in April/May 2014, not the day trips around Rarotonga, and the yacht used for both until recently, SV Southern Cross, has now been sold and replaced with SV Eastern Star, now run by Ivan Purvis. We had some heavy seas and strong winds on... More

In April 2014, we took a trip through Pacific Expeditions that was handled by Sail Rarotonga on SV Southern Cross that took us on a 13 day sailing trip through the South Pacific to exotic islands such as Suwarrow and Palmerston. Graham Wragg, the person who arranged this trip for us had to bow out due to some research opportunity... More

Had a great evening with these guys. My niece was over for her 21st with her partner. The sailing conditions were great. Got some great sunset shots and ones of the island from the sea. A must do.

We have just arrived back from yet again another wonderfull time in Rarotonga. This time was even better as we had a wonderful experience on the Southern Cross. Unfortunetly it was an overcast evening and we were unable to see a sunset, but this did not dampen our trip. Our hosts Keith and Nurse were charming hosts and made our... More

In mid October 2012 'Captain Keith' of the Southern Cross and 'First Mate' Nurse took us (wife + niece) on a fabulous sunset cruise out from Avarua Harbour (Rarotonga). I personally have done next to no sailing in my 49 years on this planet and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Keith and his crew are superbly competent sailors and are wonderful... More

We went on a cruise with Keith on the SV Southern Cross as a treat for my dad's birthday and had a great time! While I've been to Raro numerous times before, I've never seen the island from outside the reef and the view is fantastic. Keith is an excellent host and a real character. He was very entertaining and... More

Had a great sunset cruise with Captain Keith, knows his way around his boat and was very informative about things in and around Rarotonga! Even got to see some whales! Would go again for sure! Snacks were yummy too!
