I read many reviews with conflicting information. Tour and tasting is 1000 Uruguayan pesos (~USD40) per person. Taxi to (can pick up any taxi in the city) and from (they can arrange a return taxi) old city is 400-450 pesos each way by the meter. It takes 20-30 minutes. At the bodega you can pay in cash, USD, or with... More

This winery is absolutely gorgeous, and great way to spend an afternoon in Montevideo. There is a guided tour of the wine-making process which includes a stop in the antique car museum (very cool!). The only downside was the lunch... We had a reservation for 14:30 and arrived slightly early, but the hostess kept us waiting despite there being various... More

Having taken several wine tours in various countries in the past, we opted to do just the wine tasting at this bodega. Before leaving the city of Montevideo, we stopped at the tourist information to ask how much a taxi to the place should cost. It is advertised as being 11 kilometers from the city. The lady at the TI... More

I took a groups of friends from abroad who wanted to visit a typical Uruguayan winery. The visit was perfect, a very nice lady took us in a perfect English through the vineyards and explaining all the wine production. They also have a collection of old cars in perfect condition. And after that a great restaurant with the wines from the... More

If you like great wines, this is a must. But if you add to that the character, service quality, cuisine, and ambiance ... You have a very exceptional combo. Went with a group of investors/prospects for a tasting and a great meal. Will do it again every time I can. Their Tannats are to live for. But - for me... More

I am told that not many bodegas has such a comprehensive program for visitors. The visit was very cheerful, we saw the vines the vinification unit , the wine storage, and even the lab. We received plenty of explanations The wine tasting was just before the lunch together with cheese. bread and ham. Each table received all information requested. The... More

Absolutely stunning winery. Tour and restaurant was crowded, however both guide and server were gracious and patient (translated into perfect english). The lunch menu was fantastic--we found the service and quality of wine/food/cheese to outmatch anything we tried in Napa. This is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon.

The tour had around 60 people which was way too many for the guide to handle. It was hard to hear the guide and it made it hard to appreciate the beautiful grounds. The wine tasting included 4 types of wine (half a small glass for each) and a few cheeses and meats. The tasting was nice but not worth... More

We went to Bouza for lunch and had a quick, but informative, tour of the facilities while we were waiting for the table. This winery was a pleasant surprise, in terms of facilities and the wine they produce. We had recently been on a private tour of Médoc châteux and were impressed by the equipment and techniques Bouza employs, which... More

This was a fantastic experience for me. A very knowledgeable guide. The grounds were really nice and the resteraunt and tasting facilities were first class. The resteraunt use all vegetables that are grown in the winery they also have some animals living here and a classic car collection.
