I visited Machu Picchu a couple years ago but I will never forget my memories. The day I visited it was lightly raining, cloudy and the tourists were out. But nothing was going to diminish my visit. What a wonderful experience visiting Machu Picchu. It rained all night and then cleared up for our drive up and the day exploring. The clouds made it all the more mysterious and alluring. We went early in the morning with our 8 month old daughter and there were a few people but it was still enjoyable. If you can make... more

Even though we hiked the Lares Trek to get to Machu Picchu (or really Aguas Calientes) we wanted to complete the journey by walking up to MP. We left our hostel at 3:34 am with headlamps on and walked up all the steps to MP - it was great! Yes, it was hard work, but it was fun being with... more

On my vacations to Peru , Diana with Peru Vacation tours recommended to take the train ride from Cusco to Machu Picchu because that was one of the best tours in Peru. And she was right on , the scenery on the way Machu Picchu was great and Machu Picchu was even better. A really amazing place up high in... more

This is just one of the many ruins I've seen all over Central America. Let me just say that this is a place that cannot be described with words and cannot be understood through pictures! Nothing I've ever seen in my lifetime can even come close to being as awe inspiring as Machu Picchu! You must see it to believe... more
