Our guide took us to the Ceramicas Seminario. while we had been taken to many "workshops" over our years of travel, this one was the real deal. We had personal discussions with both Pablo Seminario and his wife who were both funny, charming and just delightful. The studio produces wonderful ceramics and very reasonable prices. Some of their nicest pieces... More

Our tour guide recommended that we visit Ceramicas Semiario and it was the highlight of our stay in Uruamba. We were greeted at the door and treated to a full tour of this beautiful artists haven. The ceramic pieces range from utilitarian to museum pieces that can can be purchased. I bought a few pieces and they packed up everything... More

We visited Seminario as part of a tour of the Sacred Valley and were treated to a visit to the artist workshop along with a visit with him. Some beautiful pieces of art that will pull money from your wallet.

As part of our tour we visited the ceramics studio. Very impressive. Much of the items produced are the work of artisans trained by Seminario and his wife. The interesting part, which makes the tour/sales pitch worthwhile, lies with the contemporary pieces designed by Pablo himself. Exquisite pieces; pricey, but not out of line for the quality and uniqueness of... More

We toured the Ceramic Studio and were even fortunate to meet Pablo Seminario in his studio. His creations are amazing and are continually evolving. He showed us his most current work and his colors and textures are inventive and beautiful. He has formed groups of artisans who handmake each piece, painting with mineral oxides and then firing the products in... More

I learned about this place because my host had some mugs from here that I admired. I was so glad I decided to pay the studio a visit. It is near the bus station in Urubamba. Upon entering the tranquil garden inside the gate, I was welcomed by guides who spoke English. The 7-minute video (in English, Spanish, and French)... More

We were staying nearby outside of Urubamba and decided to take a taxi into town and LOVED IT. Prior to my trip I looked at what to do in this town and found only this listing. I am writing this review to let you know that Urubamba is a quaint town. If you are in the area and need something... More

Not often that you can actually see the entire process of making art from the very beginning to the end. Cool to see the mechanics, both machine and by hand, that go into ceramics. Loved that there was absolutely no pressure to hurry through the workshop area nor to buy in the shop. Gorgeous pieces of ceramics that will make... More

Had a visit and tour of the facility as part of a travel group. The tour of the facility was very thorough and understandable. The pace was steady but not too quick and provided a great insight into the artist as well as their methods and processes for producing the artwork. The grounds are very attractive and we got to... Nice shop. Clean restrooms & lobby area. Interesting tour. Local owners. Pretty tree-lined street. The ceramics are made of local clay--some have embellishments from other parts of Peru. A wide range of items and prices. Definitely worth a visit!
