We were staying at Sol Y Luna nearby, and the hotel arranged for a visit/tour of the studio. We saw the short introductory film and then watched the staff busily creating new clay molds and pieces. The highlight though was meeting Pablo Seminario and his wife, Marilu Behar - such WONDERFUL people! The studio and gallery are beautiful and well... More

Visited Ceramicas Seminario along with 20 high students. Chaperons and students drew designs to etch and paint on small tiles. The informative orientation and presentation on Inka designs and symbols facilitated amazing results. Tiles were glazed and fired to be picked up on our return through Urubamba. A highly recommended activity for families traveling with children.

This place was tucked away on a calm, clean side street. It looked closed, but we rang the bell, and someone answered. You are shown a short video about the history of the place, the owner, techniques used, and how the community became involved. Then you take a quick walk through a pottery collection. Finally, you have a 5 room... More

We visited here an afternoon that we were in Urubamba with a National Geographic tour and we were pleased we took the time to do this. We took a short tour and actually had a chance to meet the founder who was very personable. The shop is great with lots of variety of ceramic choices some including imbedded silver.

I was in Peru on a tour, and we visited the sanctuary/studio of this ceramic artist, whose works are all over the world. Inside the gates was an oasis of flowers, tiles and animals -- as well as many pottery artists at work. The artist met with us and described his life and his creative process and was open to... The tour is fairly short and interesting. The ceramics for sale are beautiful and range from cheap for small items to large expensive works.

We specifically asked our guide to bring us here and we were not disappointed. We were given a personal tour of the workshop and met the artists (Pablo and Marilú) personally. We loved the worked. Well worth the visit if you like this sort of thing!

Pablo Seminario and his wife, Marilu Behar, open their studio for tours, which is attached to their lovely home. The tour was actually given personally by Mr. Seminario!! The pottery and art are amazing... The employees/associates are warm, friendly and truly make you feel at home. The shopping area is filled with exquisite pottery and art. I wanted everything! They... More

Our guide took us to the Ceramicas Seminario. while we had been taken to many "workshops" over our years of travel, this one was the real deal. We had personal discussions with both Pablo Seminario and his wife who were both funny, charming and just delightful. The studio produces wonderful ceramics and very reasonable prices. Some of their nicest pieces... More
