This studio presents the work of Pablo Seminario. First one gets a tour of the workshop and techniques utilized. Then go to the showroom and view the items for sale. We did buy.

Our guide knows the artist/owners of Seminario and we were able to spend an hour with them in their studio before we left for Machu Picchu. His work is beautiful, a modern interpretation of ancient Peruvian style. He and his wife design most of the items which are for sale in their studio store, actual production work is done by... More

We enjoyed a visit to Ceramicas Seminario as part of a tour heading to Machu Pichu. What a wonderful discovery and beautiful grounds. The workers painting ceramics were very proud of their work and Pablo and his wife are warm, welcoming artists. We missed the video, but enjoyed our tour and took the opportunity to buy as many pieces of... More

A very interesting local industry in Urubamba. We saw a short video on the history of the studio and how the ceramics were molded, painted & fired. The shop is small, but interesting. The founder, Pablo Seminario, gave a short talk about his involvement at the studio. Some of his art has been shown in some of the leading Art... More

We were so lucky to hear about the Seminario when we staying in the Sacred Valley. We had a tour of the workshop and watched a video on how it all started with the artist Pablo Seminario and his wife. You can see how all the pieces are individually made and hand painted. We bought some lovely ceramics which were wrapped... More

What fun and the famous ceramicist welcomed us into his office for a brief explanation of his work. The grounds were most inviting. A quick tour through production area was most interesting. The shop offerings were most interesting. Purchases were well wrapped with a thought to extended travel.

We wanted to check local craftworks and were very fortunate to find Seminario. It's not a store, it's a huge state where you have to ring a bell to access. You are then invited to watch a 7 minute video about their work, origins and philosophy. The state is composed of a nice "oficina" (shop), some studios for painting and... More

We visited this wonderful shop two years ago and were delighted with the master craftsmanship we found. And yes we went home with some beautiful handmade pottery. I would definitely recommend this stop if you are into ceramics.

The tour of Seminario was fantastic. The artist's studio is more like a compound, it is quite large with many different areas. They also have some animals in the compound which are fun to see. The men produce the pottery and the women paint the pottery. All the employees have been personally trained by Pablo Seminario and his wife Marilú... More

Despite having no particular interest or knowledge of ceramics, I really enjoyed our tour of the Seminario workshop. On arrival we were shown a short video, before being guided around the various stages of the manufacturing process, culminating in a meeting with the chief artist himself, who was very charming and spoke excellent English. Finally we were delivered to the... More
