A nice stop with our OATS trip to see the pottery studio and the process of making some beautiful items. We even had the opportunity to meet with the artist himself. We bought 2 small dishes we will enjoy on our table for years to come. The old building complex is a delight with tiles, flowers and trees and some... More

I visit each time I am in Peru. This last visit I went a bit crazy and purchased three crates of ceramics. Dishes, a very large vase, and a one of a kind sculpture. They arrived to my home in early July, but only Nov 10th did I get around to opening the crates. Everything arrived as it was in... More

At Ceramicas Seminario we were given a personalized tour through the beautiful grounds, where we were able to appreciate all the stages of making the ceramics. We were also able to meet the staff and artists who were very entertaining. The shop is well laid out and the items very reasonably priced - it was hard choosing as we loved... More

Totally serendipitous stop with one day left in Urubamba prior to leaving Peru that night. Rang the front door bell and entered a magical, mystical, creative, tranquil space filled with art, parrots, llamas, ducks - all within a beautiful garden workshop setting. The guide, Veronica, who greeted me at the door took me around to all of the workshop areas... More

My wife and I visited Seminario Ceramics in September. We were introduced to Mr Seminario outside his Museum and Ceramics Workshop. A polite and unassuming person and a complete contrast to his wife Marilou, a bubbly and charming lady. A 5 minute video at the beginning gave us his struggle to establish himself and his wife in Ceramic Art. The... More

Seminario is the real deal. Museum quality creations on display, first class crafts for sale. If you buy nothing, you still get a sense of an artist and his followers at work, and a glimpse into the enchanting soul of Peru.

Our trip to the ceramics seminario was so much more than I could have ever expected. A tour around the beautiful grounds led to the introduction of the artists, Mr Pablo and his charming wife, Marylou, and the detailed explanation of the operation at their studio. It is impressive, inspiring, and quite magical to see them sculpt their contemporary native... More

This place is not just a shop, it's an entire artisan workshop! What a fantastic place! They create and sell incredible, unique pieces of art. I love this place. It was some of the best time I spent in the entire Sacred Valley. My friends and I were lucky enough to speak with the artist Pablo, and were treated to... More

Pablo Seminario is a gifted sculptor who found his way to Urubamba 35 years ago. He was an architect by trade but started making ceramic objects using the local clay. Today he works in a "compound" that employs 50 people who create some of the most original and beautiful ceramic pieces I have seen. We had the opportunity to meet... More
