Took a tour with bikeandadventure.com through the Sacred Valley with my girlfriend, including a rafting trip down the Urubamba River. Fantastic experience. Private tour that was suprisingly affordable, with outgoing, knowledgable English speaking guides. Guide inflated the raft higher up in the river to minimize chance of getting sick and floated through Incan ruins for 1.5 hours. Highly recommend Enrique... More

I ended up with giardia that I think I got from the swallowing too much river water, but it could have been from a different Peru trip,... More

We (two adults and three children aged 10,11 and 14) went for a day's rafting on the Urubamba river with Amazonas Explorer (www.amazonas-explorer.com) a Cusco based company. We had a really exciting day out which ended with a picnic at the riverside. We thought that the safety briefings were really careful, clear and thorough and we felt very safe (important... More
