You do need to book ahead for the museum, but it is well worth it. The collection consists of two rooms, one for ceramics and one for textiles. The tours are given in Spanish and Japanese and cover each period in the evolution of of pottery and textile manufacture. The information is very thorough and sheds light on the progress... more

Known mainly to visitors from Peru and Japan, and open by appointment -- so you will have to call ahead -- this is a unique museum housing a small collection of Chancay and other pre-Conquest ceramics (all of which are very beautiful) and a (relatively) huge collection of pre-Conquest textiles and fabrics.
