Our Lima tours aim to promote Peru’s fabulous food while giving guests the behind-the-scenes city tour of the capital's most interesting districts. These gourmet culinary tours in Lima were designed so that visitors explore the local cuisine, culture and traditions while being treated like royalty in the City of Kings. All in one day, we take visitors to a local market, secret garden cafes, and Lima’s landmark restaurants where they will prepare Peru's flagship dish and drink - Cebiche and the Pisco Sour - as they wind through the city's most emblematic districts.

As part of a pre-cruise package I was with a small group that did this tour. We were picked up at our hotel in a very comfortable small coach. It was a wonderful tour. The tour owner, Lucas, and his wife, Samantha, were delightful and very informative. We visited some great eateries, a market, and learned how to make pisco... More

We had a fantastic time doing a day tour with the Lima Gourmet Company. Lucas was a great guide and the tour of Lima was informative and fun. We enjoyed all the exotic and high quality food we tried and we loved the hands-on experience of making pisco sours and ceviche. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting... More

So much fun and food was so delicious!! Jaime, our guide, shared a bit on the history of Peru and why Peru is now a top gastronomic destination. (2 of the World's 50 best restaurants are in Lima!) According to Jaime, Peru was influenced by the Chinese, Japanese, African, Italian, French and British, so Peruvian food is mostly a fusion... More

This food tour was fantastic! Jaime, our guide for the day was very knowledgeable, and his English was very good and was able to explain to us about local produce and food specialties of Peru. We learned a great deal about Peru, toured a local market and learned about native fruit such as lucuma and participated in lessons so we... More

March 2015 - We took this tour as a private excursion from our cruise, along with 12 others. We had a great time exploring some local restaurants and fruit market, as well as tasting some delicious treats. We made our own pisco sour (yum), as well as a bowl of ceviche. We had a great tour guide - fun, friendly,... More

I was alone in Lima and decided to take this tour. It was very good. The ceviche lesson was what I like the most, although it was too fast. They could have made it longer. The experience in the restaurant at the ruins was also very good.

We went on the evening tour and it surpassed all of our expectations. We learned about the different foods of the regions of Peru. We travelled to several beautiful restaurants in Lima and sampled delicious food and drinks. We sipped Pisco Sours at Cala by the ocean at sunset watching surfers and ended the evening walking across the Bridge of... More

March 2015 - As a family of five we visited Lima for a few days and decided to do both the evening tour and the daytime tour with Lima Gourmet. I have to say that we had a really good time with both Lucas and Javier as our two respective guides. Good English if you are traveling from the USA.... More

Since most of the flights from Lima back to the US leave at night on a red-eye, what is one to do after you check out of your hotel in the afternoon? We had this problem and decided to book an evening gourmet food tour. We were met at our hotel at 4:30 PM and had 5 hours of blissful... More
