Owner description: Our Lima tours aim to promote Peru’s fabulous food while giving guests the behind-the-scenes city tour of the capital's most interesting districts. These gourmet culinary tours in Lima were designed so that visitors explore the local cuisine, culture and traditions while being treated like royalty in the City of Kings. All in one day, we take visitors to a local market, secret garden cafes, and Lima’s landmark restaurants where they will prepare Peru's flagship dish and drink - Cebiche and the Pisco Sour - as they wind through the city's most emblematic districts.

I only had one day to sightsee in Lima and chose this on the basis of the wonderful reviews here on trip advisor. It really does live up to the hype, as well as all the amazing food it is also a city tour and you learn about the history and different areas of the city. The ceviche is to... More

The Lima Gourmet Company tour may be the best tour we have ever taken! Samantha, the owner, is responsive and reliable and so nice. Our emails were immediately answered. Sylvia, our tour guide, was waiting for us at the port where our ship docked wearing the Lima Gourmet Tour Company apron as promised. There were six people coming on the... More

Found Lima Gourmet through TripAdvisor. We had a day and a half in Lima at the end of our Galapagos/Machu Picchu honeymoon, and decided to take the Cebiche/Pisco Sour Class plus the Evening Tour in one day. To give this 5 stars truly means a lot coming from my husband and me because 1) I'm pregnant (so can't drink all... More

This was one of the best tours we have ever taken. Lima Gourmet tours was extremely accommodating when we found out that our cruise ship was not going to be in Lima the day that we booked our tour. Sam rearranged scheduled in order to accommodate 2 groups of 10 people on the following day. Sam and Sylvia met the... More

We were in Lima in early November (2014) on a Business/Pleasure trip and, as always, I had researched the restaurant scene in this city, which many call the gastronomic capital of South America! Apart from our hotel breakfasts, which were quite mediocre, every meal we had in Lima was superb! Especially the ceviche!! Definitely THE city for Gastro-Tourism!! I had... More

Other reviews of this tour say that you should do this at the start of your trip so you can see the best places and the city, and I fully agree. The company was great and the tour was informative, delicious and so much fun. We were full at the end and particularly enjoyed the Pisco Sour making demo. Would... More

This is a must for everybody who has a short time in Lima and would like to see as much as they can about the city and learn as much as they can about Peruvian food. I took the tour with my daughter on a Tuesday, and since there were only the two of us, our guide Silvia came in... More

Although several of our friends indicated that Lima was just another city and not worth much (if any) time, we left room in our travel plans for two days of exploring it. We found that had we skipped it, not only would we have missed out, but we would have loved to have spent longer there. This was due in... More

A well organized tour with a friendly and knowledgable tour guide. An excellent way to visit some of Lima's culinary neighborhoods. The day tour started with excellent Peruvian coffee at a stylish cafe and finished with dessert at a restaurant located within the pre-Inca ruins, Huaca Pucllana. All stops in between were equally informative and tasty! A well worth trip... More

Through a chauffeured tour of four distinctive culinary locales, our group of six was treated to a thorough sampling of the specialties from several regions of Peru. It was a gastronomic sensation!
