For our last day in Peru, we organized a private tour of Lima with Haku Tours, which included hotel pickup, Colors & Flavors tour in the morning, City of Kings & Queens tour in the afternoon, and airport transfer. We were impressed by the quality and flexibility of services offered. Our guide Jose was friendly and very knowledgeable. He made... More

This tour was great. My guides were Edwin & Eduardo, who gave me a unique insight into the Shanty Towns of Lima. As locals my guides offered me an insight visit into local residents homes and we chatted to people in the market. I can only recommend to everyone, who wants to explore more of Lima beyond the guidebooks.

Our guide, Eduar, picked us up promptly and off we went to see Lima. Our first stop was at the fish market. We saw the fishermen and smelled the fresh fish (they do smell like the sea), and Eduar told us about local customs and traditions. Next, we drove to Chorrillos. This is where we really saw local color, in... More

We were in Lima for a week, and took 3 tours with Haku--Shantytown, market visit and cooking class, and Larco Museum/Magic Fountains. All 4 of the guides we met were outstanding, and we were the only ones on each tour as it turned out. We learned a great deal about the real Lima, and it was a wonderful alternative to... More

A wonderful experience. They picked us up at our accommodations right on time. We went to the market with our guide Jimmy and chef David. Jimmy explained so much to us. We discussed and tasted the fruits available and had ceviche fresh just from the docks. Then we went to a local hostel to cook our meal. David was patient... More

We did the Golden Civilizations Tour. We started at Pachacamac pyramids. They have started to make it more touristy with upgraded bathroom and museum. Our guide was very enthusiastic on the history. There is quite a bit of walking and hills. If you aren't able, you will be sitting on the bus. I felt we spent too much time on... More

As others in our cruise group, we enjoyed our trip to Shantytown and Lima. Edward was a very informative host. We learned much about the people who live in Shantytown and interacted with them both in the market and in the town. Couldn't have asked for a better tour and lunch. Thanks, Edward - keep up the great work.

We completed a 4-hour tour starting and ending at the airport. Our guide Jimmy Giraldo was fantastic. He showed a solid knowledge of the historic center of Lima. The walking tour was great and the logistics was perfect.

Our tour of shanty town with Geovanni was excellent! Really eye opening to experience this culture up close and personal. The people of this community are friendly and hardworking and they made us feel like part of their community. Not once did anyone ask for money or for a handout from us (anywhere in shanty town or the city of... More

My review is not for the tour itself, as we had to miss it. Rather, it is for the owners' kindness in understanding our situation, and for not charging us the full rate even after canceling. Their professionalism and trustworthiness is admirable.
