We did a cooking class with Haku Tours. What a brilliant day! Firstly we went to the local markets which was great, got to see and try lots of things. The cooking class itself was in a nice outdoor area in Miraflores. There is a choice of dishes that you can cook. We cooked Ceviche to start (gorgeous!) and a... More

It was our 1st time in Peru and Lima, so we picked a rather historic tour of the old town. Our guide Jose was excellent and gave us loads of information not only about Lima, but also about Peru. Also because it's a private tour, you can ask all the questions you want. This 1/2 day flew by and had... More

I visited Lima with 3 gringo friends. I "surprised" them with a full day tour with Haku Tours. 1/2 day was the Shanty Town tour, the other half was city of Kings - packaged as the Lima Reality Tour. This tour should be MANDATORY for all Americans visiting Lima. It really opens ones eyes to the fact that people are... More

We started out with he City of Kings tour with Jimmy which we totally enjoyed. He was very knowledgable and very accommodating us. So, at the end of that tour, I decided to book the cooking class which included a market tour. I was so so happy with them...Chef David was fantastic...as i was the only person in the class,... We did tours with Haku at both ends of our Peru trip. We began our journey with the City of Kings tour (with Jimmy as our guide) and the water circuit tour (with Jordan). We felt perfectly safe and enjoyed all of the great information our guides had to share. My teenaged son especially loved the catacombs and playing in... More

I was traveling solo and I had less than 36 hours to spend in Lima, so I wanted to cram as much as I could into that time. Haku Tours was perfect. I did the City of Kings & Queens tour, the market tour and cooking class, and the water circuit tour. All of them were terrific and the tour... More

We did two tours in one day. We went to Gamarra and then to City of Kings and Queens. Gamarra was an incredible experience. We had Jimmy as our tour guide. He was funny, talkative and took us to have wonderful experiences we may never have again. The tour showed us the real people of Lima. We didn't see a... More

We booked the Kings & Queens tour, for a half day. Our guide was Cindy, accompanied by Edwin. Cindy arrived really promptly at our hotel, and was friendly and helpful from the start. The mini bus was clean and felt safe, which in Lima is a definite plus! The tour was well constructed, and there was lots of information, and... More

We took the tour to Caral, the ancient civilization close to Lima, our guide was Jimmy and as others have remarked, he might be one of the nicest people ever, and his English was easily best of all local guides I have seen for tours in Peru. Everything was very well organized, we arranged this full day tour the day... More

I love meeting local people when I travel, and if a tour is interlinked with the lives of locals, it is a must-do experience. The shanty town tour takes you into some of the humble yet interesting settlements in the city, and you can interact with locals, experience their warmth and friendliness. My tour guides, Edwin and Jordan, made it... More
