Wonderful experience! We did the City of Kings tour, Pachacamac afterwards and then we toured trendy Barranco. Haku Tours were brilliant in that this tour was tailored specifically for us and delivered professionally and with a personal touch. We had Edwin for the first half of the tour and Daisy for the second half. They are both such lovely and... More

I took two tours with Haku tours, the Shantytown tour at Villa El Salvador and the tour of the Bizarre in Gamarra . Haku tours is unlike other tour operators in that it takes you to places completely off the usual tourist path and connect you with the local residents. I visited community facilities and met with local leaders, women,... More

My husband and I went with Daisy on the Bizarrest Bizarre Tour which included the Gammara District (think NYC Garment district meets Grand Bizarre in Cairo), the "Witches Market" (think shaman, snakeskin's and potions to cure whatever ailes you!). We sampled the craziest foods and heard stories about how Guinea Pigs are used to cure illnesses, had our fortunes read... More

I am so glad I booked this tour. What a change from previous tours in different parts of the world. I was collected, promptly, as arranged, from the hotel by my guide. The taxi was clean and well driven and it was nice that another lady had booked too. Indeed it was her 4th or 5th Haku tour that holiday... More

This is an eye opening experience, that is a must for families with children. In the US, we don't really have an appreciation for how many people live in other parts of the world.

I took the Shanty Town tour with Daisy this morning and then a bike tour along the Pacific with Gustavo this afternoon. An amazing day! The Shanty Town tour will make it to my all time great experiences list. What wonderful people! We could all learn from them about resiliency, about building a strong community and about caring for one... More

The overall tour is average. Although they were key points of interest in Lima, we felt we didn't get enough time to see each of the sites. We opted to take a taxi back to our hotel from the Magic Water and Dance show so we had more time. The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the area and sites... More

I did a full-day tour with Haku: shanty town in the morning, then lunch, then palaces and churches in the afternoon. It was absolutely fascinating, and it gave me a unique view of both the poverty and opulence in Lima. The tour group consisted of just me, so I received unparalleled attention and service. I had a driver, one tour... More

I had a sixteen hour layover in Lima on my way from Cusco back to Canada. When I checked out tour times with Haku Tours I discovered that my flight would arrive an hour after scheduled time. I emailed them and they told me they would pick me up at the airport when my flight landed and they would organize... More

I took a tour with Haku tours that was unlike a typical city tour. Edwin, our guide, took us to the shanty town and it opened my eyes and heart. We were able to interact on a very personal level with the residents of the shanty town. I got to experience the generous, loving spirit of the people of the... More
