You will receive a 5 star tour by a local guide, who was raised in the Shanytown area. Co-owner Edwin, met us at the cruise port to begin the tour. He explained that we would visit a very large Inca community. He said that the Incas do not call their land Peru, but rather, "Inca Land". He also explained that... More

Jose our guide, was amazing - his knowledge of the city, historical events, cultures and quirky things was amazing, and he spoke English beautifully. The tour itself was well constructed and allowed time for us to stop and visit the oldest bar in Lima for a pit stop. We will certainly be recommending Haku Tours and Jose to friends and... More

Did the King and Queen tours with a tour guide. It was a private tour and it was very good. Edwin knew his stuff about Lima and showed me many places. More important he told me a lot about the history of Lima and Peru. Zuly arranged the booking of the tour and also my transportation to the airport. Both... More

City of Kings and Queens Tour. I like the small tour format -- no more than 4 persons on a tour. For this tour, it was just two adults, and our tour guide, Daisy. Daisy was very well-informed, helpful and incredibly pleasant. Her English was just perfect, and her knowledge of the area was not just something she learned by... More

We felt so lucky to have been directed to Haku Cooking Class. It was a perfect class. Jimmy picked us up at our condo in a taxi, took us to the market where we met Chef David. Jimmy's English is very good and Chef is terrific at the market and cooking. My husband speaks Spanish but I do not so... More

We booked volunteering and the wine "tour" - one tasting stop. Edwin was a fantastic guide, more like a proud host having guests in his community. He was personable, informative, and had much heart for everything he showed us and loved to help his community. After volunteering we tasted wine and pisco. Edwin was even quite knowledgeable about that as... More

When traveling to a city we need to learn the good, the bad, and the ugly. This tour was outstanding and comprised some of each. Our tour guide, Jose, spoke almost perfect English, and was able to clearly impart the mission of his company to improve the living conditions of the people in the community. Much of the cost of... My wife and I were on our honeymoon in Lima, and we booked this tour at the last minute (basically we contacted them on the morning that we were reaching, and got a city tour booked for the same afternoon). The staff were highly flexible and managed to arrange for a private tour for us beginning at 3:30pm (don't think... More

This tour was the perfect way to start our Amazon adventure. We were amazed at the friendliness, cleanliness and happiness of the area and the people we met. We loved hearing about the community development efforts of Haku. This gave us so much more of an insight into the history and people of Per than any city tour could have... More
