On 6/8/15, I took Lima Mentor´s Historical Buildings Tour. The tour was well designed by the company GM (Ms. Cynthia). It went beyond a walking city tour by taking us into Peru's history through the legacy of beautiful colonial buildings! I've learned a lot about Peru's history through the stories behind these buildings from an excellent tour guide (Ms. Martha).... More

We booked a full day tour of Lima with Lima Mentor and we had Martha as our Tour Guide. We had a very ambitious agenda to pack in a lot of different sites and activities to make the most out of our one day visit. We wanted to visit the typical sites, including the main Plaza, the Cathedral, the Larco... More

We booked a private tour to Pachacamac and were fortunate to have Claudia as our tour guide. After picking us up at our hotel and driving through Lima, she provided us wide and interesting insights into the historical, social and cultural history of Peru over the centuries. When we reached Pachacamac, we drove around and had opportunities to stop and... More

We had a 5 hour layover on our trip from Buenos Aires to Cusco, and we didn't want to spend it all in an aiport, so we contacted Lima Mentor to set up a couple hour city tour of Lima. It turned out to be a great experience--the tour was easy to set up, our guide met us at the... More

Just returned from our trip to Lima and the Larco tour was a highlight and at the top of our list for best experience. Miguel was very professional and knowledgeable about Lima & Peru. My husband enjoyed talking politics with him. The docent at the Larco was great. Very enthusiastic and a real passion for her work and the exhibit.... More

We chose the full day Lima Historic Center - Barranco tour. We were thrilled with our guide Martha and with our tour choice. The included lunch was in a delightful building and featured authentic Peruvian cooking. Even though we are not shoppers, we enjoyed the locally made crafts and products at the shopping stops. All in all, a thoroughly lovely... More

We were part of a group of 12 who used Lima-Mentor DayTours for 2 days and one night, as our cruise ship stopped here overnight during our South American cruise. We highly recommend using this reliable company-Cynthia the manager, Vanessa, our tour guide, and our van driver were caring, highly professional and well organized. From beginning to end our tour... We booked a private tour through Lima Mentor and Cynthia Caceres. We spent the day seeing many of the usual sites in Lima and then did the Lima at Night tour. All in all, the full day tour with guide Vanessa was great after I made a mental attitude adjustment over missing the changing of the guards. My husband and... More

I have traveled twice with Lima Mentor tours. First for a single day semi-private tour in Lima in October of 2012 and the second time in October 2014 for a full 8-day custom private tour of Lima and the Sacred Valley. I have nothing but praise for Cynthia and her guides and drivers. The tours are well organized, safe and... More

Dear Lima Mentor Tours,

I'm writing to see if your company has a guide who could help my husband and me explore historic sites and museums in the city of Lima on Sunday, January 18, Monday, January 19, with an option of Tuesday, January 20. I am a travel writer with an assignment on the Peruivan Amazon, and I will also be writing an article on must see places for travelers who are landing in Lima for a short time before going on river trips.

We have been looking at guidebooks of Lima, and think it would be a good idea to have walking tours of the Plaza Mayor area, perhaps on Sunday morning as people are coming and going from the Cathedral; the Miraflores Area (the Malecon and the artists’ markets at Parque Kennedy, plus art galleries); and the Barranca area (Pedro de Osma Museum),

There are a number of additional sites that sound fascinating, for instance the Larco Museum, the Church of San Francisco and the catacombs, Huaca Pucllana, and the Magic Water Circuit. If you would like, we can send you our entire list.

Can you advise me of your rates, and also recommend ways for us to tour the city with a combination of walks and car rides. We are also interested in your ideas for experiencing the everyday life of local residents.

Our hotel for the five days will be the Tierra Viva Miraflores Larco:

- Address: 180 Bolivar Street, Miraflores - Lima

- Phone number: + 51 (1) 6371003.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best,

Emilie
