We spend one full day in Lima's Centre, well worth it! We liked it there. Main Plaza de Armas is very beautiful! UNESCO site. Lunch in El Cordano bar - great! Pisco bar at Hotel Gran Bolivar - awesome, only 10 soles. Visited San Franciscan church, monastery and catacombs, 7 soles per person - a guided tour! Wow. Wached a... More

The historic center of Lima is very busy, bustling thoroughfare (probably a great place to be pickpocketed so beware). It is very beautiful as well and clearly the city has done a good job of preserving it for its history. We watched the changing of the guard at the Presidential Palace and spent a little over an hour just walking... More

We started at the Plaza de Armas and wandered from there. There is a lot to see here. We saw it all in a day and then went back to where we were staying in the Miraflores district, which I hate to say but that is where i would stay, not here. The temperature difference is very dramatic between the... More

Beautiful Cathedral, Plaza de Armas, and Convento Santo Domingo where you can climb up the bell tower for a good view of the area. The Changing of the Guards in the Palacio de Gobierno at noon is not that great but if you are there at noon I guess you should stay for a few minutes to see part of... More

Having had no preconceptions as to the architecture of Lima, I was blown away. So many squares, with so many beautiful buildings. Fantastic. More

Lima surprised me, its so beautiful! It probably helped that it was a sunny day, but the arquitecture is stunning. Whats more, everyone i spoke to locals or tourist guides were so helpful. The San Francisco monastery is a must, but take your student card if you have one! The Casa de la literature peruana was interesting, and free entry... More

The streets are jovial, the atmpsohere friendly, as well as people. The street ''Capón'' is a delight for those who like their hands being read, or people with peruvian-asiatic interests. The buildings are great and tours exceptional. The only thing that might disturb a bit is traffic, but if you are visiting and touring I suggest you walk in groups. More
