It's not onlythe lake where you can rent a boat to take a small ride close to de shore, it's the zoo... I liked it

Be warned this place does not care for its animals. They are in tiny, bare little cages. We felt horrible after visiting here. If you want to see animals well cared for visit pilpintuwasi butterfly farm and animal orphanage in padre cocha.

I was warned that this would be a zoo and a little depressing, but hearing other travelers reviews we decided to still give it a try. well? yes some of the cages for the animals could use some maintenance or be bigger. but nothing too shocking either, the botanical gardens were a nice stroll, and the beach at the end... Well, I didn't think to go to the zoo, because I had heard it was bad, but like others here, I went because I had time after visiting the Manatee rescue center, and wanted to see these animals I missed in the jungle (otorongos and sachavaca won't be seen there!). That was a very bad idea! I'd rather see some... More

they have a fantastic collection of local animals, reptiles and birds here, some of which you could only dream of seeing in the wild (jaguar, ocelot, puma, pink dolphin, paiche, otters etc) but most of the enclosures and cages are in poor condition and not well suited to the animals

For those that travel from all over the world to see the animals of the Amazon jungle, they can get their opportunity here in Quistococha. When traveling in the jungle, it is very difficult to see animals as most jungle animals are nocturnal.

I don't like to see a zoo in the middle of the Amazon rainforest... if you want to see animals, take a trip in the forest! Only the beach is a good idea.

I found a beautiful place like Quistococha, a perfect place to relax after an excellent typical food, with a white sandy beach, perfect for travelers.

What promised to be a nice day out was spoilt by the conditions the animals were in. My friend and I are animal behaviourists and therefore we probably are more affected than others by the crampt and poor conditions the animals are kept in because we know how it is affecting the animals. Others may come here and enjoy seeing... More
