We spent 5 days in pacaya samiria and only positive feelings came through. The guide was speaking great french and was very nice with us from the 1st minute til the end. the local guide, driver and cook were really nice too and i strongly recommend them. it is far from a 5 star lodge but its the best experience... I did the 12 days trip called the search for eldorado with my family. It was a great experience : everyone is very professionnal, we saw a lot of animals (including anaconda abd river otter) and the weather was great except for one day. If you can endure the lack of confort and the mosquitos and you want to see... More

We were two couples from Turkey and did a 3 days pacaya samira tour. Our tour leader was "the lady who knows herself" and the native guide was Herman that is the real king of the jungle. We had had suspects about the long boat trips before joining the tour but the pacaya samira region deserves it. The crew was... More

My girlfriend and I did the 6 day Amazon Survivor course in May 2013. It was absolutely awesome. Our guides were the indomitable Hector, the always informative Alfredo, the skilful Herman and the very helpful Socrates. We learned all sorts of amazing things about the jungle... And these were things that could actually help you survive in such a place... More

I, along with 2 friends, just returned from a 3 day expedition of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve with Amazon Explorer. We spent endless hours deciding on a company to do this very special trip with, but we never dreamed we'd get such an amazing experience! Our guides were Marden and Herman, and they (along with a host of other... More

I could write endlessly about this company and the experience we had with them. However I'll put it into two words, rugged perfection. This isn't a luxury cruise through the amazon. It is a first hand experience, in your face and personal interaction with the amazon jungle. Everything that I would say about this company I'm sure has already been... More

Hector and Alfredo from Amazon Explorer are simply the best. From the moment we arrived in Peru and picked up at the airport we felt totally relaxed, safe, and well looked after. We had a marvellous and intimate ayahuasca drinking experience with a unique native authentic Shaman, called Don Ramón. A lot of westerners come to Peru to drink ayahuasca,... More

Hector and Bertien are real enthusiasts. They helped us to organize 5-week-trip to Matses tribe. They have vast knowledge and were the only agency in which we were asked about vaccinations taken. It was not only a holiday, it was lifetime experience. This was one of not many lifetime experience that I will never forget. At Amazon Explorer they will... More

We stayed 3 days in Pacaya Samiria in January this year. I would really like to appreciate the professional approach of Jesus, Hector and our local guides Marden and Aladino. We really enjoyed stay in local family house as well as directly at the camping site in jungle. It was a great experience of us and one of the top... More
