This is the second time I travel with Amazon Explorer. The first time was in April 2010 with Bertien, and we spent a marvellous time in one small village, Jerusalen. We did lot of activities, and had the oportunity to share time with the local people. In this second trip we travelled with Héctor, and had the possibility of trying... More

In July 2011, we went to the Amazon jungle in the north east of Peru for three days with Amazon Explorer. We drove from Iquitos to Nauta, where the boat to the jungle departed. Just the boat trip was an awesome experience by itself, but nothing compared to what we were about to see. We arrived at the first place... More

Just wanna thank you Hector, for taking me, my daughters and their boyfriends into this jungle adventure. I was a little bit reluctant but everything you promised us came true. Sleeping with native people in their houses, seeing a lot of animals and beautiful nature, floating in the river on especially made floating ¨beds¨. It was an exciting and special... More

We spent a lovely three days in the Amazon jungle with (English, Dutch and Spanish speaking) jungle-guide Bertien. Everything was taken well care of, from the lodging (a typical jungle lodge in a small village), to journeys by boat into the jungle. We ate lots of tasty local food (lots of fruit and vegatables) and swam in a branch of... More

It was a wonderful experience: the wildlife-spotting hikes, cruising the river in canoes, we saw a lot of animals and stayed 2 nights in a local house in the village and 1 night in a self-made camp in the jungle. Our guide’s skills and knowledge on plants, animals and life in the jungle were great. We enjoyed the nice company... More

My girlfriend and I spent couple of weeks in a Jungle living with an indigenous tribe called Matses. Preparation for this escursion took a few months and finding the right guide was a hard part.
