We went on one of the one-day tours of the Sacred Valley. I really enjoyed the sights we saw: Pisac ruins, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero. (I thought places were even more interesting than Machu Picchu!) In Dec. 2008 we did two days of tours in the Sacred Valley. We hit all the "highlights", including Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. Ollantaytambo was the highlight. It is a very impressive last stronghold city of the Incas and has many amazing ruins in good shape and in a... more

When you speak of the Sacred Valley, I feel that all the towns, and ruins are placed in this one subject for review. There are so many towns that one can explore, or not. There are so many places of interest, not just to shop, but to eat. One of the things that I didn't get to experiece was Chicha.... more
