One becomes a bit jaded by so many people merchandising similar offerings, and our group found this group of merchants did not offer unique pieces. Climbing the stairs above the piazza afforded a view of Cusco and also of the piazza. Venturing much beyond here appeared to lead to less desirable areas so we headed back down to the center... This was one of the most peaceful places we walked around Cusco as the city center is away and the tranquility there is so great. The plaza is not that impressively amazing, but its how quiet and charming it is that makes it unique and great! We had a blast just chilling there for a few hours!

Get away from the touristy main plaza and wander up hill on the cobblestoned streets (wear non heeled shoes) and see this area. San Blas is a great district. A bit dirty maybe with the dog poop etc.. but quite a interesting place. Great street art, nice little shops, wonderful views and really cool streets. Take the time to wander... More

The area is popular with backpackers in which you normally find the artisan side of life. This is no exception, we spent a couple of hours exploring the square and surrounding area. The shops are a great place to pick up colourful and quirky presents for yourself, friends and family. Nice coffee shops the one we chose had great staff... More

Plazoleta de San Blas is at the heart of one of the nicest districts in Cusco. It is a popular area where tour groups stay and there is a young backpacker feel about the place. The square itself has a large fountain at the back and is populated with artists selling their wares. Surrounding the square are a number of... More

We stay at the hotel Casa San Blas, the plaza was like a 3 minute walk, very small quiet area , there is not much to do except to relax, walk, take pictures, souvenirs, eat, churches

This was a very lovely small plaza. We came from Cusco and approached through some small streets. The plaza is a bit below the main street level and is surrounded by small shops and St Blas church.

You will find not only the most famous artists here but it is also peaceful, lovely with the water feature and also to see school children. It is a great place to buy authentic mirrors. I recommend Mendivil two locations very special.
