to rest for a while at your own i recommend this little place, its not so crowded as the famous cusco plaza de armas, i liked for the snapshots i took and also for the water fountain adding a fresh feeling.

this is a typical little square full of activity and with a lot of people from 4 corners of the world, we could even see some scot showing off their bagpipes, at moments we thought we were in europe.

What to say other than a very small Plaza with some artists with mass produced, poor quality products for sale. Take a walk to it if you must, sit and rest, move on....

I liked a lot to be in the centre of the artist neighbourhood, this for me is a special quaint zone, for its bohemian flair and its free mind attitude, I met other british friends here and instantly we build up a group of explorers to be on the go for Machu Picchu. Nice place to relax over the fountains,... More

Will take a hike to get to, but the san blas neighborhood is fund and this small plaza may be worth it for good hikers, it is about 200 steps up from the main square in cusco

The Plazoleta de San Blas was very quiet on the Sunday we visited. It is quaint and there were very few people there. There were a few shops open but we did not need a lot time here. It is probably very different on the other days of the week when everything is open.

One becomes a bit jaded by so many people merchandising similar offerings, and our group found this group of merchants did not offer unique pieces. Climbing the stairs above the piazza afforded a view of Cusco and also of the piazza. Venturing much beyond here appeared to lead to less desirable areas so we headed back down to the center... This was one of the most peaceful places we walked around Cusco as the city center is away and the tranquility there is so great. The plaza is not that impressively amazing, but its how quiet and charming it is that makes it unique and great! We had a blast just chilling there for a few hours!

Get away from the touristy main plaza and wander up hill on the cobblestoned streets (wear non heeled shoes) and see this area. San Blas is a great district. A bit dirty maybe with the dog poop etc.. but quite a interesting place. Great street art, nice little shops, wonderful views and really cool streets. Take the time to wander... More
