So much to do, its the city centre surrounded by restaurants churches and shopping. I recommend sitting near the fountain and just taking in the whole ambiance. Must check out the restaurants which have a balcony on the upper level that surround the plaza as well as the salsa club to get yr groove on

This is the main square of the city. It's beautiful, well tended to and contains all that you could expect: lots of restaurants, souvenir shops, activities and, of course, lots of turists as well.

Plaza's by their very nature are places where people like to hang out and enjoy the day, Plaza de Armas is no exception.

The city center! Many of the good restaurants are located around this place. The old buildings are very nice. If you have bought the "touristic boletos", you have to know that the visit of the cathedral is nont included in this ticket

This is the main tourist square area in the city. A lot of shops and restaurants surround it. There are also several churches at the square that are beautiful. There a re a lot of street vendors trying to sell you something. Most will leave you alone if you say you are not interested. But some can be more aggressive... More

We were lucky that our ur visit to Cusco coincided with the Inti Raymi festival. The area was largely pedestrian and one could observe different groups perform their acts every day. On the eve of the big festival they had several bands perform along with parades and dances. I'm sure that even at other times the big plaza will be... More

Nice square, a lot of families walking around, kids playing, awesome scenery, there is no direction that you can turn where you don't have an amazing view, day or night.

The plaza de armas is definitely a jewel in an already gorgeous city. Enjoy your lunch with a view on the plaza in one of the restaurants offering balconies. Beware the shoe cleaning boys: make sure to settle for a price before you get your shoes cleaned.

This certainly was the hub of Cuzco, with the statue in the center and the historical churches built on the foundations of the Incan buildings surrounding it. You are at about 9,000 feet elevation, so take it easy
