It is a wide open plaza like most cities have. The buildings around it are nice and it has some pretty statues. If you spend any time in Cuzco you won't be able to miss it.

Great shops are here, off on the side roads. We also grabbed a bus tour here, and found the starbucks. The churches are beautiful. The fountain is nice. You only need an hour or two to wander around but this is a must see if in Cuzco. The shops are also nice, a chance to get some quality items. Our... More

The square is good for people watching and photography, and I really enjoyed it at night. It is lively and safe, and there are lovely buildings surrounding the square, as well as a ton of little shops selling things for your trek, souvenirs, street food, and restaurants.

We were here during a huge festival so it was extremely crowded with locals and tourists. That being said, it was still nice. The architecture, people, restaurants, people, atmosphere, cobblestone streets, and well, the people, were beautiful and interesting. Cusco is a delight. There are several plazas, but we stayed near this one and spent more time here. I've said... More

This is a great place to start your sightseeing tour of Cusco. Two impressive churches, the walk along Loreto street and several squares within a couple of blocks make it a central location with lots to see. People watching is also a popular thing to do. The square is well lit at night and there are a lot of people... More

One of the most beautiful plazas I ever visited! Just sit and watch the kids comming back from school, the wonderful arches and the balconies. Lots of flowers, very colorful. And the 2 churches close to the other!

Easily one of the most beautiful city centers I have ever seen. You wil find yourself here often--it is the beating heart of Cusco. Between the Peruvian kids laughing, the tourists snapping photos, the Indian women selling their wares, and the old couples enjoying the benches in the sun, it is full of life. Great cafes, beautiful churches (careful, you... More
