Great view, vibrant atmosphere! Worth the trip. Specially at night time the view is breathtaking and very cosmopolitan place. You can find bars, restaurants inernet places and laundry services very close by. But avoid this hostel Pirwa Posada del Corregidor and all its line in cusco and Aguas Calientes, me and 3 friends got robbed there.

Great central plaza. Found it especially amusing that there was a war of sorts between the bishop and some monks over who could build the fancies church!

The buildings within the square have great architecture. Area is very clean with a beautiful fountain in the middle. Many people hang out in the park area around the fountain eating ice cream and just watching other people. The Cathedral on the square is truly amazing to see. Was built many, many years ago and is well preserved....probably due to... More

You need to spend time around this plaza...day or night. Anything you need is here. Restaurants, shops, churches, etc ... All places of interest are in this area. The fountain in the center of the plaza surrounded by flower beds adds to the charm of the well preserved center of the city.

This is a good spot for sitting on the steps soaking up Cusco and doing some people watching. The many historic buildings and vast array of people makes it an enjoyable space to spend an hour or two. As with most of Cusco's centre they could do with limiting traffic or stopping it entirely, this would make it a fantastic... More

The Plaza in Cusco is a standard small town plaza with churches, government buildings, etc. surrounding the same with a fountain in the middle. Flowers were planted making the atmosphere quite nice. The space is large compared to the narrow streets of the city. Understand why the area is the center of the city.

You can't explore Cusco without visiting the Plaza. With impressive architecture and beautiful mountain backdrops, it is bustling with activity, restaurants, shops, and all kinds of interesting people. It's beautiful at night, especially from the various restaurant balconies overlooking the plaza.

On our last day before beginning the trip back home, we spent a few hours on a Sunday sitting in the Plaza and watching the locals in their church finery and the tourists clicking away. We met a University Professor here and spent over an hour talking to her. She pointed us to an excellent local restaurant which would be... More
