Me and my husband went on a tour with Alpaca Expeditions and it was such a great experience! Doing the Inka Trail with them we were pampered, and the food was outstanding! Our chef Gregorio was a wizard and our guide Cesar was so knowledgable, a really good guide and company. Straight A's!

I just wanted to congratulate Saul, Efra, the cook and the team of Chuskies (porters) on what will remian for me one of the greateast highlights of my trip. The food was sensational for every meal, the guides knowledgeable and fun every step of the way, the chuskies (especially Alex who shares my first name) professional amd engaging.... overall i... We arranged a custom tour with Alpaca Expeditions in late December 2014 that included a 1 day tour of the Sacred Valley (Salinas, Maras, Moray Terraces, Chinchero) and the 2D/1N Inca Trail trek. We absolutely loved our experience (minus the salmonella posioning!) and highly, highly recommend the Green Machine! I first contacted Alpaca online and they responded very quickly, reasonably... Don't do Machu Picchu without doing the Inka Trail. Excellent food and helpful guides. I felt pressured to tip and quite generously too. The Alpaca Expeditions pamphlet has tipping recommendations already quite generous and at the start the guide said to use it as a guideline. By the end of the tour he said it was "out of date" and... AOK, We are so happy that you enjoyed your Inca Trail, but were sad to read about the pressure of tipping, as this is a big deal to us. We make sure that we treat all of our crew: guides, chefs and most importantly porters, very well so they having living wages and do not rely solely on tips. We... More

We did the 2D/1N trek in December. The trek was tough but amazing. The company were really helpful from start to finish. They were quick to respond to emails during the booking process, provided good info and answered questions. When we met them at the office they were helpful. The guide for our tour, Wilson, had excellent English and a... More

We were more than happy with our trek with Alpaca ExpedEitions. La Familia - our group of 5 and our guide Jose, was lots of fun, also after the challenging day #2. Everything was organized so well, that it was easy to enjoy the travel and beautiful landscapes, to get to know fellow treckers and to learn about Peru and... More

Everything on this hike was exceptional (especially the food). The guides Reuben Sanwich and Joaquin were great. The porters were amazing and watched your belongings and provided security at night. Hot showers on the 3rd day if you wanted were provided. I met great and interesting people. It was the trip of a lifetime.

Trekking along the Inca Trail is truly an incredible experience and one that will stay in your heart and mind forever. Alpaca Expeditions is an amazing company and I would book another trip with them in a heartbeat! From my initial online chat with Raul to my final good-byes with our guides, I was extremely impressed with absolutely everything about... More

First of all, the trek itself is absolutely incredible, and based on my experience you're not likely to find a better value than Alpaca. The staff at Alpaca did a tremendous job in all aspects of the trip, from booking the trip to the hike itself. Our guide, Isaac, was very knowledgeable, and our chef, Wilbur, was great as well.... For the seasoned trekker, safety is not what you would expect. Nice enough and nobody died. However, we have done numerous treks in Africa and I would consider those safer than our Alpaca Adventure with regards to guides and safety equipment.

Casey P, Safety is not something to be taken lightly. We make sure that our guides are well equipped and informed with first aid and safety procedures. Every February we redo this training with all guides and head porters to make sure we are current with all procedures. We do believe that you mistakenly placed this review under our company,...
