We spent a lot of time looking for a company that would treat their porters well, have an ethical approach to the trek and seem trustworthy, and Wayki does of all this perfectly. They are under indigenous management, which means they take care of their staff and help the community with their benefits (currently building a library and a kindergarden... More

My husband and I just returned from our trip to Peru. The highlight of our trip, by far, was the Wayki Experience and hiking the Inka Trail with Wayki Trek. When we were deciding which tour company to book with we wanted to make sure that the company was local so the money spent actually remained in Peru, that we... More

I completed the 4 day 3 night Inca Trail trek with my partner in December 2015. Beware that when looking for a provider on the Inca trail many of the companies which advertise actually subcontract out to others, so you end up paying middleman costs if you don't choose the right one. The three companies that I would recommend using... More

The 4 day IncaTrail plus Wayki experience was outstanding. The Wayki experience allows you to stay one night in the Porters Village before you begin the trek. The was a really special night and one that we will remember for years to come. All the Porters were friendly and the food was amazing. Our guide Miguel, was knowledgeable, friendly and... More

We did the classic Inca trail 4d/3N with Wayki trek in Dec 2015. It was the most amazing experience. Wayki trek people were very professional right from booking to execution of the hike. Every email with all my queries was responded immediately. They have a pre trek meeting day before you leave for trek. There you get to meet your... More

We booked our Inca Trail trek (standard 4-day, 3-night) through Wayki Trek, and it was the best decision we could have made. Our guide, Lino, was fantastic -- good english, 10 years (600 trips!) of experience on the trail, very knowledgeable about the trail, natural history and Incan history and an all-around friendly guy. The service overall can only be... More

We did the Wayki Experience and we felt like family. The company, the life advice, and the food were all amazing. I highly recommend the doing the Wayki Experience. The trek itself was wonderfully organized by the Wayki Team in Cusco and Freddy, our guide. Freddy was both knowledgeable and funny. Freddy kept us at a perfect pace, we never... More

Just completed our 4 day inca trail with Wayki Trek and had the most amazing experience. We did our research beforehand and ultimately went with Wayki for several reasons but mainly, they are a locally owned tour operator. The owner is from Urubamba and hires local staff who know what they are talking about and have trained in what they... More

My experience with Waki tours was unforgettable and incredibly unique. Booking and getting info was always easy, fast and very well organized. A few minor snags along the way in terms of communication, but nothing is perfect and overall, the experience the team provided overshadowed those moments. Impressive from the Porter village experience, to our guide: Alfredo, the porters, the... More
