Took part in the 5 day retreat last month and it was most definitely the most profound and transformative experience of my life. The shamans were exceptional, but what struck me most about the place was the professionalism of the other staff - our helpers Angel and Betty were always at hand, and the other assistants made sure that our... I took part in an Etnika's retreat for the purpose of broadening my spiritual horizons. The staff were wonderful and made me feel safe and apart of something very special and meaningful. I cannot recommend Etnika's highly enough and the Ayahuasca experience is continuing to teach me

The retreat at Etnikas was awesome. I won't comment on the results if the ceremonies, as that's subjective and different for everybody. But I will say that I can't imagine having done Ayahuasca for the first time anywhere better. The staff were amazing and I felt like they cared well beyond the roles & responsibilities of their jobs. The ceremonies... More

I myself have not been to Etnika's, but in the light of the mainstream media fear peddling, and the hysteria on this subject, due to ignorance but also fear mongering by the Government as well, I feel it's vital to add my voice, support and love to this thread on a site that I adore, Trip Advisor! FYI, the Peruvian... More

The mix of noble silence and Ayahuasca sessions allows you to reflect on yourself and open up and feel empathy. Once you experience what it can be like to be naturally happy in a sustainable way you don't want to go back. You become aware of negative thought patterns and how they affect this state, Ayahuasca shows you what you... More

I am going to Etnikas on December 21 and would like to have some information as to the facilities to know what I should bring. In the pictures of the website, the beds seem to be inflatable mattresses. Is this the case? (I have a sciatica problem and cannot sleep on firm beds. I usually travel with my own inflatable... The setting is simple, the meals basic and there is no internet connection. This is a time to focus on the inner you. I was very happy a nurse was on hand. My blood pressure was too high on arrival due the very high altitude in Cusco and they did not allow me to participate in the Ayahuasca Ceremony the... More

I rarely write reviews like this but Etnikas is an exception. If you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere, as this is a purely rustic Cusco location. No frills. But the care, attention, knowledge and professionalism of the staff was great. Paco and Jacky were super and attended to us as guests taking on a challenging experience. My sessions got... More

My ayahuasca retreat at Etnikas was life transforming and I could not recommend it more highly. The Etnikas team were both loving and compassionate and were of immense help every step of the way, a view shared by all six members of our group.

First, let me say that if you decided to try Ayahuasca for the first time, the "retreat" part was meant for your soul, so be sure to enjoy the nature around the facility and don't expect a 5-star hotel; since that will most likely lead to disappointment. Also, the ayahuasca ceremony itself is a very personal spiritual journey; IT IS... More
