If it wasn't for our personal guide (Jose) and the porters (all of which are freelance and contracted out by Apumayo) I would not recommend this company for the Inca trail. For the following reasons: 1. We reserved our permits for the Inca trail and Huayna Picchu in February for our trip in August, only to be told the night... More

We were 8 family members aging 10 to 63 and did the 4 days/3 night Inca trail to Machu Picchu with Apumayo. In summary: it exceeded our expectations, on all levels. Of course the trail itself, the views, the incan sites on the way, the challenge, the company, all are incredible. However, Apumayo also did its part to make this... More

While on a recent rip to Peru, my wife and I went rafting on 4 rivers on trips handled by Apumayo. These guys are as good as it gets. True professionals in every sense of the word. Everyone of the guides involved was delightful, knowledgeable, and highly trained. If you looking for the best, this company is it. I also... More

In April I spent 9 days travelling through Peru with a tour organised by Apumayo and I can only endorse the wonderful reviews on Tripadvisor - they were incredible. Right from the first contact they were professional and helpful with great communication. I am a wheelchair bound lady travelling alone in Sth America and they made my trip to Peru... More

This was one of the best trips we've taken, and apumayo helped everything go smoothly! First was the planning of the trip- they were so accommodating. and let us add or change anything to the itinerary. Once we got to Peru, our tour guides were amazing! They were very informative and took care of us, and made sure we ate... More

This company has an excellent staff. And our guide was incredible. 7 of my friends and I did the 4-day/3-night trek to Machu Picchu. PROS: GREAT FOOD. They carry nearly all of you personal gear, if you pack right. Guide was INCREDIBLE (Wilfredo Gamarra, ask for him specifically!), very very Knowledgeable. CONS: Total price was a bit expensive, but it... More

As I am confined to a wheelchair, we decided to use Apumayo. We booked the Accessible Trip to the Inca Land and requested Apumayo organise an accessible side trip to the Amazon - our total trip was 16 Days/15 nights. The trip was organised and managed by Mariluz in their Cusco office, she was extremely professional and correspondence was mostly... More

We went to Perú with my mother in law an two of her friends, and I contacted Apumayo Expediciones once again to take care of our trip. This time in a more conventional way. Everybody was impressed with their service. Our transportation was always on time and the guides were very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We chose the Cusco Mágico... More

Apumayo took amazing care of us and left us with an incredible sense of awe by the end of our trip! I can truly say that nothing was lacking. Our 5 day Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu was unforgettable. The scenery along the way stopped you in your tracks more than once every day. There were incredible archaeological sites... More
