Apus Peru describes this trek as "a combination the best of all treks" and indeed it was simply stunning - from extremely rugged high mountain trekking to roaring rivers, and lesser known ruins that were as special as Machu Picchu and the famous Inca Trail. Truly, pass less traveled by tourists! From "Trekkers Wanted", three hikers joined us and we... More

We had the pleasure of going on a 12-day trek (Choquequirao-Salkantay-Inca Trail) with Apus in early June. They exceeded all our expectations! Our guid Joel was incredibly knowledgeable about the region. His passion for the mountains and sharing Quechuan history was contagious. He was superb at balancing the different fitness abilities of our group and making sure everyone got through... More

I just returned from the 5 day Salkantay trek and was very pleased with the entire experience from the decision making process during the pre trek briefing to the drop off at the end of the trek. Our guide William was very attentive and responsive to the preferences of our small (3 person) group. Apus Peru delivered from start to... More

We did the 2 day Inca trail hike and also had Apus arrange several other things for us. I usually do all of our trip planning, so this was very unusual for me to have to depend on others to follow through on many arrangements for our trip. I dealt with Emily and she was fantastic. She is from the... More

I just returned from a 5 day Lares Valley trek with a 2 days extension to Machu Picchu with Apus Peru. My 7 friends, aged 40-60, and I enjoy trekking "off the beaten path" and had chosen this trek to experience rural Peru and the Andean culture with fewer crowds than the classic Inca Trail. This trek really delivered both... More

From day one, it was an amazing experience. Everything was taken care of (even a potty). Compared to other companies we weren't treated like cattle. All our porters, cook, and guide Arturo was amazing and treated us like family! The trek was not easy but to get Machu Picchu was amazing! Will definitely book another trek with Apus Peru. The... My wife and I did the five day Lares Trek with Apus Peru in late February. We are at the upper end of the trekker age range - the early 70s. We are fit and active, but I am no longer able to match the pace of younger hikers. Apus-Peru was ready to meet the challenge of customizing a trip... More

My friend and I are weavers in the states, so we were attracted to Apus for its connections to the weaving community. It sustainability and other ethical practices were a plus. We took the one-day trip to a weaving village where we met the weavers and even got to try our hands at weaving in their style. We also got... More

The trip was amazing, the food excellent and the views amazing. Great service. Next time I trek in Peru I will definitely use Apus Peru. I have done trekking in Peru with other firms and by far Apus Peru is the best one. papa Joel, the guide was very knowledgeable, helpful and always with a great attitude.

Our recent trip to Machu Picchu via the Inca Trail Trek was nothing short of amazing! Our porters, chefs, and guides were dedicated to making our experience exciting, satisfying, and memorable. We were a large group, yet they were extremely organized and managed to have our sleeping tents, dining tent, meals, snacks, drinks, and water prepared and waiting for us... More
