Absolutely fantastic experience. Urbano and Marabelle were outstanding, caring and took great care of our 11 person group. The porters were amazing and local knowledge of ruins we encountered was very impressive. We worked with Emily of Apus on logistics and again, amazing service. One of our group lost her passport in Ollantaytambo and Emily went out of her way... More

When we arrived in Lima on the way to Cusco we were warned by an email from this group that a strike had been called blocking our way to our hotel in the Sacred Valley. Gave us time to call the hotels and make alternative arrangements, rather than arriving the next morning in Cusco with no way to get to... More

The trek was great, everything we had anticipated. The scenery, especially in early May, is spectacular. All connections were made on time and the drivers were very good. William our guide, was knowledgeable and very personable. The food was great. The cook, Remigio prepared separate vegan and non-vegetarian meals This is not a crowded trek. We saw about 20 trekkers... More

Outstanding company to work with. Professional, hard-working, detail-oriented, very customer-focused. The trek is phenomenal, but quite arduous. Certainly off the beaten path. Incredible country. Awesome ruins at Choquequirao. See them before it becomes a Disneyland in another 5 years. Would not hesitate to book Apus-Peru again.

My friend and I did a seven day trip up to Saltankay and to Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Our guide was Urbano. We had an absolutely fabulous trip. Urbano was funny, knowledgable and so attentive to our needs. I fell in a river and hurt my ankle and he treated my ankle every night with ice and special herbs.... More

We had an incredibly trek around Ausangate thanks to our guide Urbano, our cook Meliton, our excellent horsemen, and Apus Peru! Excellent pre-trek communication, supportive and friendly and respectful treatment during the trek, excellent guide knowledge. Urbano appeared to have a sincere desire to see the environment preserved and the lives of the locals improved. I would definitely go with... More

I had a flawless experience with Apus Peru. I did the 2-day Short Inca Trail by myself in April 2015 (started planning it in January), and the correspondence I had with Apus Peru over the course of a few months was smooth, informative, and professional. When I arrived in Cuzco I had a pre-trek briefing at the office and met... More

This trek exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a remote hike in gorgeous scenery this is an excellent choice. My husband and I hike a lot in the US and Canada and were blown away by how beautiful this trek was. The photos online do not do it justice. Urbano, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the terrain and... More

This is an amazing, yet physically and mentally challenging trek. Apus Peru needs to change this from very difficult to extremely difficult. Know what you are getting into when doing this...it takes all you've got. We had two trip leaders, 1) the leader, Urbano, and 2) William. They were both exceptional with contrasting styles of guiding. They both complemented each... More

Just got back from an amazing trek with Apus Peru. We did the 5-day Salkantay trek, along with 2-day guided tour of Cusco and Sacred Valley. From the moment we arrived in Cusco, everything was taken care of and ran smoothly. During the trek we walked with Arturo and the horseman / cooks took care of everything else. The trek... More
