Enjoy the beautiful Andean landscape of Peru on board of a luxury and magical way to travel between Cusco and the Lake Titicaca. Travelling in the Andean Explorer is a unique experience, a route between mountains, clouds, snow-capped mountains and puna finishing in the majestic Lake Titicaca. Its coaches involve you in an environment extremely decorated with the elegant style of Pullman trains of the decade of 1920. Its tourist shows, the 5-fork lunch, dining cars, observatory-bar car outdoors, among other attractions.

What can i say... Peru/Machu- Pichu is the experience of a lifetime.. the train specially the Andean explorer was perfect..... the views, the service.. I was more than pleased and surprised way more of what I was expecting.... If you are in Cuzco do make sure you book it from the Ponoy station.. since it is the closest one.

We took Andean Explorer from Cusco to Puno. It's so much fun that the 10 hours or so just flew by. Beautiful scenery of majestic mountains and rivers, passing by little towns where you could get a glimpse of town's life, live entertainment and beautiful food on white linen! The workers and kids in each town would drop everything to... More

Fascinating journey by rail between Puno and Cusco, reminiscent of a bygone age. Right from the beginning of the journey, as the train ambles through the middle of the markets on the outskirts of Puno (where traders and punters are going about their business, literally right next to the railway line) it starts to captivate you. As the journey continues... More

Took the train from Puno (Lake Titicaca) to Cusco - also goes in the other direction. My wife and I are fans of train travel and while "in the neighbourhood" couldn't resist this one. While luxury and a full day the price is reasonable. I tried to book way ahead of our travels before the date they accepted reservations. A... More

We travelled from Cusco to Machu Pichu by train. It was an experience to remember. The route had magnificent vistas. The quality of the train was excellent. We would greatly.recommend this trip. Machu Pichu is one of the wonders of the world. Take bottles of water with you.

Who would have thought a train ride could be this much fun?? In addition to the beautiful scenery you are experiencing, the friendly attendants on the train not only serve you snacks on the way up, but a light dinner on the return trip, complete with a fashion show of some beautiful alpaca fashions, both for men and women! The... More

We loved every minute of our day on the Andean Explorer. It was fabulous. We went from Puno to Cuzco, and from the moment we arrived at the elegant station in Puno, it was all wonderful. A real journey of a lifetime. Anyone complaining about cost and conditions should try British Rail!! The train and meals were beautifully presented, the... More

Although this was one of our most expensive activities or way to travel in Peru and was a very pleasant experience and a welcome change to the busrides. Enjoying the spectacular views, and the bar, it was a real once in a lifetime thing to do.

We travelled from Cusco to Puno - this is definitely the way to go. Hassle-free & relaxing, sit back in the armchairs or observation car and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Andean highlands whilst being looked after by the ever-attentive staff. One of the most memorable parts of the journey was passing through Juliaca where the market traders pulled... More
