We walked around the plaza, visited the little church, admired the views of Misti. It is a nice place if you have time to kill however it is not a big loss if your time schedule do not allows a visit here.....

We were lucky to visit Yanahuara during a 2-day Eco Fair. Booths with many recycled and organic products and information was available to all. The views are gorgeous from here and the church is lovely. We took a cab from our restaurant near the Monastery for 5 soles - takes about 10 minutes with traffic.

we did a little walk from downtown to the main square of Yanahuara and it was lovely to cross old neigbourhood. The view on the city from the vantage point is really nice.

The surroundings of Yanahuara are beautiful. You can overlook the city from the top level. You can stay for a while and enjoy the breeze. There are many restaurants hidden in the streets. Spend some time to locate them.

Go here if you want a nice view of the entire city. There are these old arches with interesting phrases written in them. If you want a nice photo of the arches with the Misti volcano as background, you can take it from here.

This is the area we stayed which is full of colonial buildings and narrow streets. There is also a meridor here where you can view Misti from.

Take your time to walk around this old neighborhood, don't miss the Plaza and the view point there. It is really close from Plaza de Armas to go walking, you can eat or drink in Plaza Yanahuara, try some "buñuelos" in the corner and some "queso helado". check the architecture and streets.

If this is part of a guided tour of the city (like we had), it's a nice stop. The arches with the view of the volcanoes present a good picture op, as does the beautiful facade of the church. (A wedding was about to begin and I had a chance to shoot some pictures of cute little girls.) The little... More
