If you go on the double decker bus city tour of Arequepa that you can book at the travel agencies in the Plaza, this is your 2nd stop. Basically, it is an old wall with 7 archways in it which is a viewpoint looking down on the city. There is also an old church building just to the south which... More

It's simply the best place to live in AQP. Okay, maybe that's just a touch arrogant! Seriously though, Yanahuara has some great restaurants and and always seems to have some fun weekend attractions.

This is the location where tours take visitors to take some scenic photos. The arches are beautiful and are at one end of a beautiful plaza and park. Take some time here. It is best at an hour before sunset.

Stunning views, especially at sunset. A popular selfie & proposal spot. Situated in a beautiful, charming residential area full of cobblestone lane ways, churches and parks.

Yanahuara is a community which has the view point with the arches facing volcano Misti. Always crowded with people taking photos. You may get some live music or dancing by the locals on weekends. Nothing commercial, just for fun. Try the restaurant, forgot the name, some parrillada next to the stairs approaching the arches . Great service, good meat and... More

It is right next to a Mestizo style church built in 1750, and the 3 arches look into the 3 volcanoes that surround Arequipa: Chachani, Misti and Picchu, Picchu. It was a cloudy day and we barely saw the outlines of the volcanoes. However it is still great for photos and we spent about 15 minutes there before continuing on... More

Easily within walking distance of central town this neighbourhood is worth a visit for the views. Ignore directions in lonely planet and take the park by the river then the backstreets for a nicer walk

It is a nice place and also you can get here the tipical Arequipa picture with the mountain, so it is a must.

After seeing all the slum areas of Arequipa on the bus journeys in and out it was nice to see a suburb that was not a slum. It is a good spot for photos of the volcanoes and the church is worth visiting, unfortunately a lot of other people think the same thing so if it gets crowded just move... More

Good point to take pictures of El Misti. 10 minutes walk from the bridge. Rather safe area with many people going there to take pictures.
