This plaza was huge! But it was hard to find a place to sit. There was a ton of pidgeons. There´s a great supermarket facing the square. More

We enjoyd the Plazas in all of the Peruvian cities we visited but Arequipa provided small town ambience in a big city. Sitting in the Plaza you do not feel the 'big city' which is a 2 minute walk from where you are sitting. Beautiful place to sit and take it all in. More

As in most Peruvian cities the Plaza de Armas is the centre point of the town. Some great restaurants of here and the very helpful tourist information centre. More
