I highly reccomend PeruSchweiz as a tour operator if you wish to visit the Colca Canyon. Our quide, Nelson, made the whole experience very special. He had exemplary knowledge of the canyon and the surrounding wild life, but the laid back feel that he gave off made the trek very enjoyable. It is a beautiful trip, seeing condors gliding over the... We did the 2 day 1 night trek through the Colca Canyon, i think the tour company was tour Andes. The Canyon itself is stunning, so many beautiful views you can't take them all in! Trekking it wasn't easy at all but we managed goth days with a few aches but with great memories and photos too, as well as... More

We visited the colca canyon as part of the 2 day trek and I would recommend it to anybody. We had a great group and two very knowledgable guides. The views of the canyon are incredible, I have never seen scenery quite like it. The trek itself is quite tough especially on the way back up, but very rewarding. You... More

I loved the canyon and the condors, we saw 3 of them quite close in super crowded Cruz del Condor. LAndscape coming from Arequipa is amazing, I really enjoyed it ( we had snow, a storm in the highest point) . We hire a taxi to take us, it was 300 soles (2 of us) for a 4 hour trip... More

Wonderful although long trip from Arequipa. Best as a overnight or better two nights there. Great views and hiking but also great sights en route from Arequipa that shouldn't be rushed.

Beautiful overnight trip, and seeing the condors flying in the wild was awesome! The accomodations at Killewasi Lodge were wonderful, as was their on-site restaurant. The view of the mountains out the front window as wonderful & very relaxing after several hours on a (comfortable) bus.

Went with Colco Canyon Tours and the team were just great. The accommodation on the tour at Calvery was appreciated and they organised connections to Puno for us. We found the tour guide very knowledgeable, very caring of everyone's health (particular given the altitudes). and the interpretation was well done. The walk to the condors is well worth taking. Stops... More

This is a great place to see. There are numerous different ways that you can view the canyon from a number of different towns along the way. We took a bus from Puno to Chivay. You will need to pay an entrance fee of 70 soles to get into the Canyon. We got checked at four different points on our... More

The canyon starts out as terraced farmland and gets steeper as you drive further in due to the river elevation dropping. When you get to Condor's crossing the canyon is one of the deepest in the world. You can get right to the edge of it to view the condors and you will see how large this canyon is, and... More
