Is a long 14 hours tour. You will be picked up around 3:30 am. and be back around 5 pm. Amazing landscapes at high altitude, up to 5000 meters so be ready to chew some coca leaves. Condors are not easy to spot.

We did a two day tour to see the condors. You have a better chance of seeing the condors close-up from April to December, but we were still lucky enough to see some, although they were a bit far away. There are great stops to take photos with beautiful views of the valley. There aren't many stops for views of... More

We got a good deal with the tour company for 115 soles. Keep in mind that you have to pay 70 for the park entrance, 15 for the thermal baths 2nd day (optional) and 25 for the lunch buffet the 2nd day. You can also get a cheaper option there like an sandwich. It's better to look for a cheap... More

I went to Colca Canyon 2 day trekking and it was an awesome experience. The group and the tour was nice. It's quite a challenge to climb up, but all the views you get are worth the effort.

We travelled to the Colca Canyon as an overnight trip from the nearby city of Arequipa which at 2000 odd metres above sea level meant we climbed to a massive 5000masl along the way, be prepared for this as it is tough as altitude sickness can kick in very quickly leaving you breathless and light-headed. As we travelled the stunning... More

A great if very full day out. 2:30 am pick up from the hotel then about a four hour drive to the Canyon. It's a bit expensive to get in the Canyon (70 sol each) but trip only 16 Sol. ( Peru government needs to be cautious it is not seen as ripping tourists off, government fees are a multiple... More

I have never been afraid of heights, but standing on the edge of the world's second deepest canyon, the Colca Canyon, I was surprised to notice a twinge of fear. While marveling at the view from the edge of a nearly two mile deep canyon, more than twice as deep as the Grand Canyon, I have to think, maybe a... More

The drive to the top in a minibus over a rough track takes about an hour from the main roads passing incredible beautiful scenery. Once there you wait for the first thermals to allow the Condors to take off and soar above the steep canyon which disappears far below.

I took a day trip to the canyon. A little dissapointing because of the short time in the canyon. ( 1 hour) good is that we saw a lot of other little places with the tour gide and excplained a lot. But I think to get the full canyon feeling you have to do the train.

My review is not just of the Colca Canyon, which is stunning, but of the entire Valley, which is absolutely one of the most unique places I have ever been. With the stepped walls, the agriculture, the green lush valley, the gorgeous Colca river, this is a must see as you go down the valley to view the condors. Lots... More
