We did the 3 day tour with Colca Trek and it was really excellent. Elias was the best guide we've had in South America, so knowledgeable and set on ensuring we all had a great time. The Colca lodge we stayed at on the first night was the most luxurious place we'll probably stay in our whole 6 months of... More

Waking up early in the morning to see the condors leave there nests in the canyon was really worthwhile!

We did this trip with EcoTours. We got recommended by a few people, and some who just came back from a trip to the colca the day before we went. I went to the office and spoke to Ludwig (the owner) himself. Great guy, and he gave me lots of confidence on the trip. Allergies were not an issue as... More

This is definitely something one must organise themselves rather than book through an agency! All the agencies take one trail down and one trail up which means you have to walk with up to 60 other people on a narrow dusty path. Also the 3 day trek is a scam. You dont walk any further than those on the two... More

My family wasn't up for long hikes so we didn't do a backpacking tour. We did see the Condor's Cross, the Salinas y Aguada Blanca reserve and the hot springs (along with a few other spots that I don't remember the name of). It was an awesome trip and I wish I had spent more time there.

I wasn't sure whether this was worth doing but on the whole I enjoyed it and I'm glad we went. The first day is a killer because of the crazy 2.30am start...... I was not in a good mood that first day walking into the canyon despite seeing 6 big condors at the top. The walk down is quite steep... More

The views here are amazing and the numerous stops that thus will do along the way are great. On that note I think it's better to go with a smaller tour group/shuttle bus as you have the freedom to stop at more places. Also make sure you get to Condor cross early! We got there a 9.30 and saw the... More

We arrived to Arequipa with only one clear idea: we had to go to colca canyon before leaving. With that in mind, we paid visits to different agencies who offered us interesting packages consisiting in three days all-included for a very good price. Pablo Tours was a bit more expensive but the lady in the office approached us in a... More

This place is absolutly beautiful. It is a must see in if you are in Peru. Dont come too early in the morning, cuz the sun have to heat up the air for the big condors to fly. But be aware there are many tourist !

On a visit to Arequipa, my uncle suggested that we all visit Colca Canyon. I don't know which tour company we actually ended up with, It is true that agents will sell you a tour and you end up with someone else entirely. Either way, we were fortunate to have a good experience. We did the 2 night tour. It's... More
