Both my wife and I are very into cooking and restaurants. We have done several cooking classes and found this one to be great. Once you arrive, you wait in the great garden of the hotel until your class starts. Chef Lady (her name is Lady) speaks great english and seems to enjoy teaching how to cook Peruvian classics. Definitely... More

I took part in both the market tour and the cooking class and I loved them both! It was great to get a walk through the market and have different things pointed out, and have a chance to try some of the local fruit. Then the cooking class was very informative and we had a perfect group size (9 people)... More

I loved it! But then again, I love anything that is teaching me something new, especially new food recipes! The market tour was entertaining. The guide taught us about Peruvian foods that I had questions about and taught us about some cultural differences and representations of food. The actual cooking class was fun and inclusive. My 14 year old daughter... More

We loved our Peruvian Cooking Experience! The setting was beautiful - we cooked outside in the courtyard of the Hotel Casa de Avila. The food was delicious and the staff was excellent - very friendly and FUN! I would definitely recommend doing the Market Tour, Cooking Class, & Pisco Tasting - all 3 are well worth the $$ and very... More

Having cooked on previous trips, we couldn't miss the chance in Peru, so went for a class that we shared with 5 other travellers to South America. We booked early online to ensure we had chosen a menu that was easy to convert to a vegetarian option. We shared the veg prep then cooked in a couple of groups, with... More

My niece and I both love food and cooking!!! So this was perfect!! The setting is beautiful,an outdoor kitchen in the courtyard of a charming hotel garden. We loved the visit to the Market and got to taste lots of local fruits. The cooks were so much fun and as a group we made a delicious traditional Arequipena meal and... More

The class we took was well organized and fun. We started with a tour of the city's main market, followed by the cooking and pisco sour classes. We worked with partners, and did everything ourselves, including prep work. We came away feeling that we could duplicate the meal at home.

Firstly, I would like to say that the chef Monica was very friendly and fun to cook with. Also, Raquel at the front desk was great. However, there were serious problems with the organization of the cooking class. I booked a private class with my husband and we agreed on a menu via email. When we arrived at the class,... More

Dear Guest We do our best to keep the Peruvian Cooking Experience original and fun. Growing as the Nr 1 cooking activity in Peru also takes us to face new challenges in organization. In your case, it was a little confuse to know if you were asking vegetarian, fish or regular menu (+6 mails). And we tried to fill all... More
