Ok. This is a tough one, as there are so many, many wonderful things to say. We went with Rainforest Cruises and they did a fantastic job keeping up with the logistics of this 8-day trip. We boarded the Cattleya, which holds only 8 visitors (4 cabins), with a crew of 10, including the boat captain. To say we were... More

Just back from a wonderful 5 night/6 day trip to the Peruvian Amazon aboard the MV Amatista. What an amazing experience - I can't say enough good things about the trip, the boat and staff, and about Jungle Experiences, who I believe own the boat and organized the trip for me and a dozen friends. I would do the entire riverboat... More

Stayed in Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica Jungle Lodge. The part of Amazon River we visited was supposedly the relatively safer part. Some excursions made you feel like you're in a Disneyland Adventure. It's indeed fascinating to be sailing in a "real" river witnessing "real" caimans & surrounded by nature.

She was a very reluctant traveler, and only consented when I showed the photos of the Amazon Aria and promised that she would never have to leave the boat and could just lie in bed and watch the scenery go by. We opted for the 4-day, 5-night cruise--long enough to get a real flavor but not so long as to... More

Astonished by some of the glowing reviews. We were totally underwhelmed. This is sold as a luxury experience, but anyone used to top quality expedition cruises such as those from Silversea would, like us, be very disappointed. The area offers little wildlife despite the very hard work and diligence of good guides. Food was awful. Suites three star level. Clean... More

We spend Easter long weekend on the Queen Violetta cruising on the Amazon and what an amazing experience. After spending time at Treehouse (also amazing) we were taken by boat from our lodge to directly to the Queen Violetta, a small cruise ship. We boarded and there were only 2 other passengers who had been sailing for 5 days already.... More

Travel is my living and my obsession and for about 5 months of every year I am overseas doing just that. So when I say that an experience is up there with the best of all my travel experiences - I am comparing it to am extremely long list. Travelling on the Delfin I was exactly this. I was fortunate... Enjoyed every minute, well worth the $$ The guides and area were incredible, the food beyond what we imagined. They made us feel welcomed and special. You couldn't put the trip together yourself as well as they do. We were equally blessed to have a "lovely bunch of coconuts" on board with us!!

Because I have some mobility limitations, I studied carefully to find the best option for a river cruise on the upper Amazon. My husband and I decided on an eight-day trip in Peru on the Cattleya during the rainy season, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. We chose a small boat, hoping that the crew would get... I was really surprised how pleasant the Aria was. I loved the floor to ceiling windows that are in every room. They are completely unobstructed and so you have a great view from your room at all times. I have been on many ships with balconies and this is a much better design. For a small ship the food was...
