We had an amazing 4 night trip on what we would describe as the best trip ever. This boat and its crew are truly there to please the passenger. The food was totally amazing and better than some 5 star places we have stayed in. The rooms were so fantastic and clean it seemed a shame to change any thing.... More

We did a three day cruise on the MV Aria, which was built especially for touring the Amazon. Each day we went on smaller boats into various creeks to find birds and other wildlife. A highlight was a walk through the rainforest. All of these excursions were led by highly experienced and engaging guides. The boat's staff were among the... More

A colleague and I took a 3 night/four day cruise on the Cattalya, one of the newer ships. The boat has only four cabins and it turned out that we were the ONLY passengers on the ship. I must admit that having a crew of ten peruvians serving two of us was not something I was fully comfortable with in... More

We just came back from the peruvian amazon river. We were on board of the Estrella Amazonica. A boat belonging to "International expeditions." This was a fantastic and different cruise. The boat was great with the most spacious cabins I have ever been in with a king size bed and a full length picture veranda doors. The crew was fantastic... More

I did not think that the Amazon could live up to the Galagopas but it did and the reason is that while in the Galagopas we got close to nature here we got close to the local culture. We went on both with Gadvenure which we highly recommend. The guides on the Amazon were from the local area and the... More

just got back from 4 night adventure aboard the Cattleya Cruise ship out of Iquitos Peru. My wife and I had a wonderful time. Very comfortable accommodations. total of 4 cabins, only 2 were occupied so we and another couple shared 11 boat staff. Full length windows in the room with very comfortable beds. Air conditioning was excellent. Even the... More

Our National Geographic and Lindblad Cruises trip included a week on the Upper Amazon after we had flown from Lima to Iquitos and then were transferred to buses for a 2 hour trip to the Delfin II dock, itself an exotic wooden structure. On board we traveled all over the enormous river as well as tributaries, adjacent lakes, and tours... More

The title of this review may be a bit puzzling, but it has a lot of significance and meaning. It is the phrase used by one of the naturalists, Juan Tejeda, aboard the Aqua Amazon River Cruise. It is an understatement. Aqua Expeditions has two luxurious riverboats to transport its guest through the Pacaya Samiria Reserve at the headwaters of... More

We traveled on the Marañon, Pucate, Ucayali, and Amazo Rivers. We were in the Picaya Samira Reserve. Our tour was with Aqua cruises. The cost was expensive, however, the boat was very very nice, the staff care excellent, the food quite delightful, and overall the planning was excellent. We were taken to visit jungle areas, villages, a school, shown a... More

The Delfin 1 has four cabins and can take 8 passengers (and is, as such, much smaller than Delfin 2). I can safely say that it lived up to all my expectations. We had a brilliant 4 days aboard. Our suite was on the lower deck, and had a cool ‘jacuzzi’. I wasn’t quite sure about this but actually we... More
