Cruising the Amazon on the Delfin I was amazing. With a maximum of 8 guests on board, the service is personal and of the highest quality. The meals were of a standard that we have only had at the best restaurants. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Despite the fact we were up at 5.30am every morning to go... More

We spent 3 nights on the Aqua at the end of our trip to Peru. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience with good guides and great service from all the staff. When I had toothache, the onboard paramedic had a long conversation with me and provided the correct antibiotics by the next morning, which my home dentist was very impressed with.... More

I took a four night cruise on the Aqua in September. Although the trip was planned for my daughter and me, circumstances meant that I ended up travelling alone. The experience exceeded my expectations. The boat was luxurious and the food was incredible. The crew were super attentive and helpful. No request was too much trouble, and I was never... More

A cruise on the Amazon with International Expeditions was in my husband's words, "Better than I expected!" The boat, La Estrella Amazonica, although not luxurious, was comfortable, met all our needs and had a fantastic upper deck where we were entertained nightly by a band made up of the crew. Our expedition leader was extremely knowledgeable and our two guides... More

We took the International Expeditions 8 night cruise aboard the La Estrella Amazonica on the upper Amazon. What an absolutely fantastic experience. The boat was extremely nice with decent sized bedrooms that have a lot of storage and a small balcony. Every morning and late afternoon we would get on small motor boats and explore the rivers looking for birds.... More

We just returned from a four day cruise on the Cattelya, a brand new boat owned by Ucamara Expeditions, and brokered by Rainforest Cruises. It was really a superlative experience. We were picked up in Iquitos, driven to Nauta, where we boarded. We had two full days with three-four skiff expeditions each day, plus two (very) partial days . The size... More

We loved the Amazon. The animal life was amazing. The people, including the Aria's staff and fellow travelers, were friendly, knowledgeable, and interesting. However, we found the cruise ship, Aria, very disappointing. There was only one hike, The third day we visited a village for an hour. The rest of the day felt mostly like filler. The trip is billed... More

My husband and I returned a week ago from our trip to Peru. We started in Cusco and then made our way to Iquitos to explore the Amazon on the Aqua. I was a little nervous because I have never "cruised" before or traveled in close proximity to people I don't know (tours etc.) We arrived in Iquitos about 2... More

This was my first river cruise, and I have to say, it will not be my last. It was a bit of a rocky start at the beginning when we landed in Iquitos, but the staff was friendly and worked as quickly and efficiently and they could. It was quite a long bus ride to the M/V Aria, so long,... More

Went on the 3 night cruise with my partner (ages 24 & 27). Lots of activities - three times per day. Room, boat and food was as described and room had a very nice view. We stayed in the master suite at the front of the boat, which was not noisy. We booked through a tour operator online and got... More
