Had a great week in the Galapagos at the end of March. The ocean was calm and the weather perfect for exploring the islands. Our motor catamaran The Anahi was very comfortable and was kept immaculate. The meals were not impressive but adequate. We felt fortunate to have a guide named Roberto who was as entertaining as he was knowledgeable.... More

Since our booked catamaran cruise on the Ocean Spray was cancelled, we were rebooked by the travel agent to the catamaran ANAHI. She also takes only 16 passengers. 6 cabins on the main deck next to the dining area and 2 suites on the upper deck next to the bar. The boat is 5 years young and in pretty good... More

Queen of Galapagos is a lovely catamaran, the bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms are a good size - although I would say the bathroom we had was a little tired looking. The communal areas are very well looked after, absolutely spotless and comfortable. The food was plentiful and really enjoyable. It sleeps a maximum of 16 and there was... More

Our family of 3 sailed on the Explorer II for 7 nights Saturday to Saturday on May 21-28, 2011 and we had a great time. Explorer II is one of the largest & beautiful ships sailing the Galapagos. You will not find any mega-size ships sailing on this part of the world. Explorer II is a very nice & clean... More

We went on a week's cruise on the Eclipse, which my husband booked through a local Ecuadorian agent. Although the ship was built for 50 passengers, there were only 34 on our trip. Apparently volume has been somewhat lower in recent years due to economic conditions. For us, 34 was a good number, large enough to have a variety of... More

We used Stanford travel systems based in California to book our Galapagos trip .We live in Nova Scotia ,east coast Canada so were a little nervous about dealing with an Agency so far away. Doug and Stanford Travel were wonderful, gave us personalised service, The trip was terrific. Many thanks to Andreas, our guide in Quito. The Explorer 2 was... More

We spent 11 days aboard the Nemo II catamaran on a cruise to 7 islands, more than the normal itinerary because it was a birdwatching expedition. There were 18 on board: 11 passengers, 6 crew plus the local guide. Even so, it never felt crowded because the crew were mostly below deck or at the bridge. We had several overnight... More

Don’t be confused: The travel companies (and there are several) all sell tickets to the SAME boats (just make sure you match up the names). So spend the time to look for the best deals AFTER you have decided which boat you want to be on. Since I have never been on a cruise before, we chose the Explorer II,... More

Just returned from a trip on the Galapagos Explorer II ship, highly recommended. One of the best trips we have ever had. We were updated to a balcony suite, although all suites are a nice size. We travelled with our teenage daughter, and she had a wonderful time. All the people working on the ship were friendly and helpful. Bought... More

We have recommended Galasam to all our friends and will continue to do so. They were our heroes when the volcano erupted near Guayaquil. If you want to go to South America, these people are the best. They really can make lemonade out of lemons. If I were going down there, again, I wouldn't use anyone else, seriously. Here's a... More
