We went by bus too late in the day, insufficiently prepared for the cold, the terrain and the lack of nearby facilities and so we opted for a short, well marked trail near the visitor center. It was astonishingly beautiful, peaceful and well worth the physical discomforts (which could easily have been eliminated with better planning on our parts). More
