I did a report on her for university so was very excited when i found out there was a museum. It was more expensive than I was thinking, but my whole family thought itw as worth it! It doesn't only have information on 'La Libertadora del Libertador', btu also on Bolivar himself, other heros of the independence wars, a firearms...

I'm a student here in Quito and because of my study I was interested in this museum. I want to be a nacional tourguide in Ecuador and so this was very interesting.

Fantastically knowledgeable guided tours. Some extraordinary personal items - including the violets given to her by Simon Bolivar, pressed in a book. well worth visiting if you have any interest in her story.

It is a museum outlining the culture of this country, especially the city of Quito. I recommend this place to know with some guidance or a book where you specify the meaning of everything that one has to be seen.

I had heard about Manuela Saenz and her relationship to Simon Bolivar before I went to the museum, so seeing her things and her writings was compelling. The museum director herself gives the tour with lots of interesting tidbits about Manuela's role in the fight for independence against Spain.
