Nice safe place to walk if you are stuck in Quito for the day in between trips. It's safe and there is a nice botanical gardens, price $3.50US which has a fantastic collection of plants, especially an unbelievably beautiful collection of orchids. There is also a good herpetarium with frogs and snakes.

You will see families and people of all ages enjoying the outdoors. Fresh fruit stands, fitness activities, bikes, trikes, it all happens here. So nice to see so many people outside exercising and enjoying the bounty of beautiful Ecuadorian weather.

This is a huge well kept park. Ecuadorians are very family ordinate so on the weekend (at least on Sunday) the park turns into a giant festival. Food vendors, musicians, street performers, etc. The botanical gardens were well worth the trip. This is a much better place to go on the weekends than old city which gets very crowed.

The Park has tons of bushes and flowers, with a winding and paved walking trail (no hills) and very lush gardens. It's quite pretty and calming. Allow about 1 to 1.5 hours.

If you're only in Quito for a little while, this doesn't need to be on your must do list, but if you are in Quito for more than a week put it on your list. The park is huge with a running path around the outside and multiple sidewalks winding within the park as well. There are just about every... More

The botanical gardens have an intermediate and a warm greenhouse that house Orchids. This is my second visit to see these spectacular collections of orchids and It didn't disappoint. Blooms that I've only seen in books before are on display so bring your camera.

There is so much to do and see in this park. It is always busy with people, but it is still a great place to relax. On weekends, you can usually enjoy a variety of different events. There is also a biking/running trail around the outside of the park.

Ecuador being on the equator, you can grow any plant normally grown in the northern or southern hemisphere and they do a good job of demonstrating such.

Park is very well maintained. It is quiet big and has provision to play many sports. There are many courts for football, basketball, volleyball and for tennis. For jogging it has nice track. Accessible by public transport
