We walked this park from south to north and were rewarded with interesting sculptures, and exotic trees and shrubbery. Te best of all, was the discovery of a botanical garden at the north end of the park. The tropical orchids, exotic cacti and many tropical plants indigeneous to Ecuador are more than worth the small entry fee.

This is a huge, lovely park in the midst of Quito. We were there on a Sunday and it was packed with families strolling, playing sports, eating and enjoying the day. Lots of food carts and picnic tables. There are two mini lakes where folks can rent paddle boats - lots of fun for those families. This is clearly a... More

A really cool park to spend some time in the daytime. There's a track and lots of paths to cycle through, lots of sports fields, basketball and football that are free to use. And a big playground for the kids. I would recommend as there's something for everyone but I would recommend walking through at night as it is said... More

This is my favorite place for walk in Quito. It is always clean and safe. If you are in this park you may consider to go to Botanic Gardens as well.

This park is huge and takes up several city blocks. There are nice paved walkways all the way through. There is also a track to run on which many people do. Lots of trees to lay under and read a book.

Great to visit on a weekend with all of the vendors and food kiosks. Nice to see families out enjoying the day. There is a playground and lots of open spaces to enjoy.

This large city park was near my hotel and I walked there twice during a brief visit to Quito. Many people were enjoying the space: running, playing soccer, walking, spending "quality time" with a partner. On my second trip there were several organized soccer games going on, but there was plenty of room to wander elsewhere if you wanted to... More

We walked through this park several times during our stay in Quito. El Jardin Mall is at the southern end and there is a nice mall at the northwest end. It's not very green this time of year but there are enough trees and flowers to give you a peaceful stroll. You will see children playing "el futbol" (soccer), joggers,... More

Make sure you go on a Sunday, to truly see the liveliness of the place. Lots of vendors...I recommend the coconut juice. There was a nice skate park, a clown doing tricks for kids, and a comedian. Very lively.

Over the years that we have visited Quito, we have enjoyed this park. It offers places for kids and adults to play. It also has ample grassy areas just to relax.
