So much to see & do. I spent hours there with my grandchildren. My 3 year old could run and play with no worries, playgrounds, rides, horse rides, boat rides, bounce house. Food, ice cream & cotton candy. An inexpensive day, with much fun.

Large park in Quito, a boating area and a Botanical Garden, which is well worth a visit. Plants from all over this diverse country. There are a large collection of beautiful orchids.

Lots to see and do, most of it free...soccer fields, basketball and volleyball courts, botanical gardens and herpetarium (both for a modest fee). Food stands, street food, vendors, rides for small children, rental paddleboats, sometimes music, always people watching. If you can't find something that interest you, check your pulse!

Like many of the sites surrounding Quito, the park offers great views of the city -- some of which are of non-central areas. The walking trails aren't particularly scenic but if you've had too much Ecuadorean food on your trip, you might want to come here for exercise anyway! We got lost a few times on our trip but eventually... More

This enormous green space is Quito's Central Park. It has a number of amenities including workout machines for adults and playground for kids, a waterway with paddleboats, sporting fields, the Botanic Garden and a Vivarium containing over 100 reptiles and amphibians. It also has many benches from which to watch the world walk by!

With 3 friends we visited this park on a sunny Sunday morning. This park is a very relaxed place where people meet, eat, sport, jog, waterbicycle, make fun, enjoy fringe theater and visit the beautiful botanical garden, entrance fee: $ 3,50. Highly recommended if you want to recover of a late Saturdaynight and enjoy Ecuadorian famliy and street/park life!!

What a beautiful park for a Sunday stroll. In typical Latin American fashion, Parque La Carolina transforms itself into a family friendly mixture of food stalls, people watching, games and general fun for all who take the time to savor the "sabor latino" it offers. As a retired Spanish teacher, I have wanted to see first hand what a Sunday... More

Parque La Carolina has everything: a reptile house, Quito's Botanic gardens, acres and acres of grass and trees. There are paddle boats and a water course; a couple BMX courses for bikers, many playing fields, tennis and basketball courts. Sunday is the best day to visit: lots of food vendors, clowns, and Quito families enjoying the space. There are dozens... More

A wonderful way to spend the day.So much you can see and do there, or do nothing at all. This park is huge we spent a day just walking around taking in the beauty of it. It was wonderful seeing families have fun together. Kids on bikes, kites flying, football games, and paddle boats. The park is very clean with... More
