We were able to walk to the top of the park and while on the walk we encountered a herd of Llamas just strolling along. This is an excellent location to ride your mountain bikes on all the trails throughout the park.

Perfect for a day with kids, there is a nice children area, although the games are a bit turn apart. But the best of it by far is the walk, you can walk, and walk. I think I have being there a hundred times and haven't finished visiting all of it. Great for taking the dogs or for bike ride.

This is a nice park, very big, not quite as accessible for me so i don't visit often enough. But it is great for walking and feeling like your not in the city anymore.

I am fortunate enough to live a stones throw away from this absolute gem and before getting my new job I took advantage of living this close by going everyday! Nowadays I can only make it on a Saturday and Sunday morning but ALWAYS choose a nice long walk over a lie in..what does that tell you! I have two... More

First of all, the park is very close to the most cosmopolitan areas of the city. Once you get there, it feels as if you were in the middle of the country side, far from all the traffic, noise and people. The park is clean, the air is fresh and there are trails you can walk with amazing views of... More

If you want to train at 9000 feet above the sea level, Parque Metropolitano is the place. Great trails for hiking, trail running and mountain bike. Wonderful place to enjoy the city and near valley’s views. Best hours to train from 6am to 9am Monday to Friday. Weekends you can go any time during the day. In a cold morning... More

This park is great for outdoor hiking and mountain biking. We hiked about 4 km of the park, including two of the overlooks on the east side of the park and the northern end of the park. The park is huge, especially for a city park, and there seems to be a lot to explore. There are trails everywhere that... More

Very nice park in a busy urban area of the city. Many active people running around/biking. On weekends there are crafts and venders of all sorts. No need to visit Octavalo with this area so close.

The park has amazing geographical features, making it a real treat to walk, jog, or bike on. It's usable all year long, having long summer weather and short rain storms. Even for a walk with the dogs, it's a great place to be, with amazing view of Quitos valleys.
