Big park in the center of Quito. You can rent a place and do you own barbecue on the grill right there. Not many options to spend the time. But it's a nice place to be in touch with nature, has some sports' facilities as well. Entrance is free, but if one decides to rent one of the many barbecue... More

This park is one of the biggest in Quito. It is a great place for a walk, a picnic or to go running. Parts of the park are forest, there are BBQ areas, playgrounds for kids and it is big enough so that you'll always find a quite place.

One of the largest parks in Quito. It's nice but many fires have happened in the last few years, that caused a lot of damage to the birds (there's birdwathing) and the rest of the fauna and flora.

A nice park with a lot of children playing, artists and a market. It seems to be a meeting place not only for business but lovers, wanderers, and people in general.

Quito’s Metropolitan Park ia an ecological reserve comprising some 580 hectares and located at an altitude of 2890 meters. The park is a great place to visit if you fancy some fresh air and a bit of countryside without straying from the city. The park offers hiking and bike trails, monumental modern sculptures (rather ugly), picnic areas and food stalls... More

My flight back to US was late night so I had all afternoon free. I spent the most of afternoon in the park. I really enjoyed it. Walking in park was very refreshing.

I had rented a motor bike so drove it up here Sunday morning. It was a beautiful park. I walked around for a few hours and just enjoyed the great weather and sights. It was a very peaceful and relaxing morning.

This is a huge park covering thousands of acres, with spectacular views of the city and outlying areas around Quito. It is dog friendly and they are in abundance on weekends, along with hikers, bicyclists and lots of folks out for a BBQ. The views of the city from this vantage point are spectacular, as well as outlying areas such... More

This is the biggest park in a city in South America. It feels fairly wild, and it is quite easy to get lost in the vegetation. Well worth a visit, and the views over Quito on a sunny day are spectacular. There is also a pack of llamas or alpacas living in the park. Some really good fresh juice stands... More
