The inside of the church is covered in gold leaf which is amazing, and it is just down the road from Plaza Grande and so is easy to get to. As said in reviews below, it is one of the pricier churches to visit in Quito, but would still definitely recommend.

This church was absolutely breathtaking. I could have stayed there for hours. Only downside was that it was expensive and you weren't allowed to take pictures. I would have taken thousands of pictures given the opportunity.

Beautiful Baroque style of church. Gold leaf on most interior decoration which makes this a very unique church.

Amazing church, with extremely rich decorations with lots of 23 karat gold. One of the most extravagantly decorated churches I have ever seen! Unfortunately, photography is not permitted.

Part of the tour put together by Celebrity. Enjoyed it, and they did all the driving.Glad we stopped there as well was the other places they had on their list. Only one day in Quito but they kept us busy.

South American catholic cathedral at its best - beautiful interior, rich ornamentation, more "Spanish" feel than being part of the "Escuela Cusqueña". Pics not allowed, which made us all the more crazy to get a few "forbidden" shots. Definitely one of the highlights of Quito.
