If you're a fan of ornate churches, La Compania is probably a must-see, though it costs $3 to walk through it. Look for the painting of Hell - it's one of the most disturbing but amusing paintings I've ever seen in a church. More

Intricately worked gold leaf throughout which when combined with simple geometric patterns and moorish design elements make for one amazingly beautiful church! More

Thisnis one of the highlights of Quito, with it's history and decoration. Unfortunately, as with most churches in Quito, no photographs are allowed. It only takes a short time to visit but leaves lasting memories. More

Well worth the few bucks to get in. Heck , the OUTSIDE is amazing with the excessive of decoration, but the amount of gold inside is beyond anything I've seen, even in the Vatican. Make sure you use the mirror under the main cupola to view the ceiling to save your neck. Also, see the bell display (and ring them!)... More

As mentioned above, this is a beautiful church, I just feel that it needs a little bit of upkeep without destroying any of the antiquity. More

Very beautiful and interesting, but can't say it was worth the fee (6$ each) to get in. We didn't get a guide because none were available, and that may have made it better. More
