Overall I am now going to give 5 stars, I would have gave 3 but everything was sorted in the end by Dennis, his response time I found to be very good. The actual trip represented good value for money as I got an inclusive deal. The diving overall even with average visibility was out of this world. The guide Luis... More

We chose Dennis and Guanguiltagua Expeditions for our Ecuador tour based on the reviews of fellow TripAdvisor guests. During the trip planning phase, Dennis was prompt in responding to our questions. We agreed on a plan for a three day trip, starting at Cuenca and ending at Quito, with overnight stops at Riobamba (1st night), and a hacienda very close... More

It’s unfortunate that exposure on Trip Advisor sometimes leads to situations in the one, the tour company’s reputation is trashed and the clients give an awful feedback as a mere evenge. These clients say we are “bad” and consequently we are guilty for everything, without matters of the bad behaviour and abuse that they perform againt our workers, that like... More

This company provides excellent tours throughout Ecuador that are personalized to your wishes. We arranged a 3 night trip from Quito to Cuenca through Dennis, who provided an itinerary based on our interests. Dennis proved to be a very knowledgeable guide and skilled driver. He has extensive knowledge of the local history, flora and fauna. He is personable and friendly,... More

We did a day trip and were picked up from the hotel. Our guide Francisco was on time but the car was late. When you see the traffic in Quito you will understand why. Our guide was excellent and took us everywhere we wanted to go and to places he thought we should see. The service met all our expectations... More

Used Guanguiltahua Expeditions to go to Hacienda San Agustin de Callo and Quilotoa Lagoon. Dennis was a great guide. He knew the history of the region and the best places to grab lunch. The Hacienda was gorgeous and very historic with the lunch being very delicious. We then traveled to Quilotoa Lagoon, it took a couple hours to get there... More

After being stuck outside of Quito we had a day to relax and sight see before our Galapagos trip. We contacted Dennis that morning and he had arranged a last minute driver and day trip around Quito, Otavalo and a few other small towns. Not expecting a lot since it was last minute, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised... More

Sorry, my first rating was an error! Dennis and his crew are the best! The trip to the Otalavo Market was wonderful and relaxing. My guide spoke excellent English and was full of information on practically every subject imaginable. The market itself isn't huge, but it's packed with wonderful things to see and buy. Lunch in another little town afforded... More

I couldn't believe it, but there I was, looking up at Riva's Retreat just below the ice fields on Cotopaxi, a live and active volcano in the Andes, and all I had to do was take 1000 steps to reach it. My legs felt as if I had lead pipes inside them, but I was breathing just fine. If only... More

My wife and I recently completed a nine-day private tour with Dennis Yepez of Guanguiltagua Expeditions, starting in Quito and proceeding south down the Avenue of the Volcanos to Cuenca with various stops along the way and ending in Guayaquil. We recommend Dennis to other travelers who are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable and reliable guide to explore the beautiful... More

Fantastic program!! Dennis and his staff provided outstanding coordination, support, and guide service during five days of climbing volcanos in Ecuador. Dennis set us up with a great program to conduct high altitude climbs while mitigating any AMS with expert guides in addition to wonderful accommodations in mountain resorts to rest and relax while off the hills. This is a... More
