Such a beautiful place, Cotapaxi. The altitude was breathtaking at first. We started down and before long we were off th beaten track riding along glacial streams amongst wild horses and bird life. The scenery is beautiful and constantly changing. The skill level required is not so high, you just have to ride within your limits. The bikes are good... More

As one person amongst the 20-person tour mentioned previously, I can honestly say that I had an unforgettable holiday with Biking Dutchman Tours. I reached the highest heights I will likely ever see in this lifetime, and had some long downhill rides from those heights. I think one ride lasted 2 ½ hours! We covered a lot of miles of... More

I totally agree with you: Fernando is awesome, so knowledgeable and patient, so caring and outgoing. Only one thing: I must take credit for choosing biking routes, accommodations and meals. This is -of course- a team work and the result of 23 years of organizing mountain biking tours to travelers from all over the world. So glad you enjoyed the... More

I organized a three day trip for twenty people from Cuenca, Ecuador where we all live. From start to finish it exceeded my expectations. As you can imagine twenty people had lots of questions and Ana Lucia answered everyone, many before they were asked. I can't express enough her professionalism and help in putting together this excursion. From alternate starting... More

Dear John I do not know where to start! Firstly I should probably mention how awesome it was to cooperate with you in the organization of this challenging tour. You were great sports and patient towards your fellow bikers who had plenty of questions, which is only logical if you are going to face something new. Thanks for your patience... More

We weren't in the best of form having not slept the night before and got colds, but I wouldnt have missed this for the world. We did the one day ride down Cotopaxi and found it great fun and also quite scary in parts. Having descending the initial stage it became a lot easier and the group soon split into... More

Brilliant experience. I went on the Four Day Mountain Biking Tour (24th - 27th Nov 14) I was with a small group of 5, with varying cycling experience, and we were able to tackle every volcano/mountain at our own speed with no rush from out guide. Plenty of opportunity to stop and take photos, and the views are amazing so... More

I did the One-day-Cotopaxi-trip and I loved it. I can highly recommend this trip and the Biking Dutchman crew - they are incredibly friendly and helpful and especially the "Biking Dutchman" itself has to tell very interesting stories about travelling. :) Don't miss this adventure!

Thanks Jonathan for your great review! It made me happy to read it. Jan read it too and he was glad to hear that his stories still entertain people. I must admit that –even after so many years together- he still amazes me with new ones! As you probably heard directly from him, he travelled around the 5 Continents before... More

Please note that you must be in pretty good shape and very familiar with a bike. We did the cotopaxi tour and it was beautiful to see, would do it again, but the tour was tough and not slow. Do not expect a leisurely bike ride. Guide very nice. Don't forget rain gear, will almost certainly rain in the afternoon.

Thanks so much for your kind review. However, I am in awe with it and I have no clue on what to do to improve! You say it is a GREAT experience, and yet you rate us 3. Is it just because it is not for beginners? I reckon that it is probably because you expected something else, and then... More
