Excellent excursion down Cotopaxi! This was the highlight of our family trip to Ecuador. Guide Fernando was fantastic, and very patient with our youngest son. Robert, son of owner Jan, was charming and informative. Good equipment, in good condition. All together a fabulous and reliable group. We would love to go back again and do more. Thanks Biking Dutchman for... More

If you are a serious Mountain Biker, look for the Biking Dutchman - ALL MOUNTAIN TOURS with Mateo Cuesta. Their regular tours are more family oriented and have very basic bikes. If you, however, want a top of the range up to date trail bike you can throw down a very real Andes Mountain then find the All Mountain tours.... More

This was just the best experienced I had while in Quito. Even though it was a stormy and very cold day our tourguide Fernando did all possible to make the adventure even better. Not to mention that we were biking along with falcons and wild horses. The food was homemade but it was amazing: pasta salad, torta de verde, brownies,... More

It was awesome to read your review today! Thank you very much for your appreciative words. Great that you let other ones know “that it was the best experience you had while in Quito”. As responsible Tour Operators, this is what we work very hard to achieve! Even though one needs good luck to see all the wildlife you saw,... More

My friend and I went on a two day tour, the first day to Cotopaxi and the second day to Quilotoa. We were accompanied by the knowledgable, friendly and patient guide Fernando and we cant recomend the tour enough. The experience was wonderful and unique and definately one of the highlights of our trip to Ecuador. The routes we were... More

Seven of us went on the ride down Cotopaxi and had a great time. I fell off (totally my fault, nothing to do with the bike), and that didn't make me have any less of a good time at all. We were lucky enough to have the owner as a guide, and he was a champeon. I'd highly recommend them.

Oh I so loved your Review in the TRIP ADVISOR. I read something L. Armstrong wrote, when we still loved him “If you worried about falling off the bike, you’d never get on”. Now, we do not love him anymore, but I still so love what we wrote! And you are a living proof of it. Thanks for taking the... More

There was some miscommunication on the actual trip length as far as biking went which got me a bit nervous when we showed up but our tour guide (the owner) was incredibly thorough, attentive and caring. We came a bit unprepared for such an activity (had to borrow a jacket) but mountain biking with the biking Dutchman was the best... More

For US it was a sweet surprise to read your kindest review today! I am sorry that you were NOT prepared for the adventure. And I must probably blame myself for it. It is great that in the end everything worked out for the best. As you, English speaking people, so nicely say: “All well what ends well” Jan was... More

I did the tour with my boyfriend and it was the first time that either of us went mountain biking. Fernando was our guide for all four days, and he definitely made the trip educational as well as exciting. He was very knowledgeable, and knew so much about every place we went. The route itself was very well thought out,... More

Thank you so very much for the appreciative Review that you recently posted in the TRIP ADVISOR. In deed, the trip you took gives tourists the opportunity to see Ecuador’s variety in such a short time. I reckon that very few countries, if any, offer this advantage: To be able to travel and see so much in a couple of... More

We did the 1 day Cotapaxi Tour as family of 4 (kids age 16 and 18) in July with Biking Dutchman and had marvellous time with the BD himself as our guide Great way of seeing the volcano and experiencing the surrounding countryside with knowledgeable guide, decent bikes and delicious food (especially the brownies!) Thank you so very much for your kind review in the Trip Advisor. Jan was pleased to hear that he was able to provide a safe and amazing trip to your family. We were so glad we went on the Cotopaxi day trip! We had such a wonderful time. We had three awesome guides: Roberto, Fernando, and another guy whose name I've sadly forgotten. Roberto was awesome on the ride out there, talking to us about the area and giving us tips. Fernando stuck with us the whole bike ride, making sure... More
