My husband and I had a fantastic time on a four day trek with Astrid. We've both ridden a lot and were very happy with how she took time to choose horses to suit us, and which ride would be interesting. I was especially impressed with how Astrid catered for gluten free requirement. We also really liked the places we... More

Spent two days with Astrid and her horses going on two different day trips in the Pululahua National Park just outside Quito. Not being an experienced rider Astrid (and her horses) did an excellent job at making it a great experience. Highly recommendable even if you are new to horseback riding.

After reading reviews on tripadvisor I decided to contact Astrid last minute to see if I could join a ride the following day. She replied within an hour and a half to say I could so I sent back the form to confirm. The ranch is difficult to get to independently so the riding package includes pick up from la... More

Lovely Astrid and her wonderful horses! We had a blast on the one day volcano ride. Super cool sites, and a ride we'll remember for a long time! My boyfriend who'd only been on a horse once before, wished to book another day on the ranch right after we got off the horses :) Yummy homemade pasta sallad for lunch!

We spent a day riding with Astrid and everything was awesome. It is a beautiful ranch and riding around the crater was great, lots of trails to enjoy. The horses are so well taken care of and a pleasure to ride. Do not hesitate to book with her, you will not be disappointed.

We booked the horse back ride from home via email with Astrid. She delivered as promised and much more. Her horses were well cared for and the equipment was in good shape. She adapted the ride to our age and abilities. The trip was incredible. She had a great knowledge of the area, and Ecuador in general. She organized a... More

Sept 23 Chaquinan Tours' Eva arranged this excursion to the Green Horse Ranch, located inside the Pululahua Reserve, which is an ancient volcanic crater -- the biggest one on the whole American continent and one of only two inhabited craters in the world. It is known for its changing sceneries and huge biodiversity. The owner is Astrid who was ably... More

Easily one of the best trekking experiences I have had. I had not been riding for many years, so was a little anxious. However from the start I felt confident that I was in the expert hands of Astrid and her team of guides. She had taken into account my level of experience and placed me with horses suited to... We spent the day trekking in the caldera of Pululahau volcano. There scenery is amazing as well as some advanced riding climbing up and down around the crater. Astrid and the team looked after us well and the sandwich they made for lunch was very tasty. Only one note to people a little scared of heights is the trip in... More

One of the most amazing experiences of our trip!! My daughter and I took the moonlight ride and it was spectacular. As night falls, the clouds begin to break up and the stars mingle with the rolling mists. Add to that, more fireflies than I have ever seen and a bit of St. Elmo's Fire creating static charges in the... More
