Easily one of the best trekking experiences I have had. I had not been riding for many years, so was a little anxious. However from the start I felt confident that I was in the expert hands of Astrid and her team of guides. She had taken into account my level of experience and placed me with horses suited to... We spent the day trekking in the caldera of Pululahau volcano. There scenery is amazing as well as some advanced riding climbing up and down around the crater. Astrid and the team looked after us well and the sandwich they made for lunch was very tasty. Only one note to people a little scared of heights is the trip in... More

One of the most amazing experiences of our trip!! My daughter and I took the moonlight ride and it was spectacular. As night falls, the clouds begin to break up and the stars mingle with the rolling mists. Add to that, more fireflies than I have ever seen and a bit of St. Elmo's Fire creating static charges in the... More

We just went on a 2 day horse riding with Sonja, the guide and it was beautiful and so much fun! I was a little afraid that it would be boring for me since I've been riding a lot before and my boyfriend is a beginner but it was not. We both enjoyed it a lot! Thank you!

My husband and I had a great half day ride with Green Horse Ranch! The horses were well cared for and responsive, and the guide really made sure everyone had a wonderful time! We did the Pululuhua crater hike which was lush and green, with ample opportunities to trot and canter. My husband I not a very experienced rider and... More

1. Amazing scenery - particularly when the clouds roll in through the gap in the crater. 2. Responsive to last minute request - Astrid arranged a tour at 5.30pm for the next day. We were grateful. 3. Lovely tour riders - our riders / tour guides were expert horse people and made the ride a joy. We even got a... More

I want to use this opportunity to thank Astrid and Rhea (our guide) so much for this wonderful experience. Me and my friend did the 2-day trip right at the beginning of our journey through Ecuador, and it remained my personal highlight of this three-weeks vacation! I am a passionate horse rider, and my friend is a beginner, and we... More

Astrid picked us up in Quito and drove us to her ranch. After passing some construction and urban sprawl we turned onto a dirt road and were soon treated to the most beautiful valley (dormant volcano really) imaginable. There was a patchwork of little farms and ranches below while the clouds enveloped the very tall mountains. After a winding, bumpy... More
