We meet in front of the huge monument at Plaza Sotomayor in Valparaiso every day of the week. Our guides wear red and white striped t-shirts like the children's book 'Where is Wally' or 'Waldo' on some countries, so it is easy to find us. When? Every day of the week. How much? There is no fee. The price is what you think the tour is worth after you have taken it. If our tour is bad, don't give a single peso. We work for tips, so imagine what we strive for. How do I do it? No Reservations Required. Just meet us at the main plaza. « less

What a great time, Priscilla was full of great information and laughs. I enjoyed the winding paths of the city and would never have seen as much of it as I did because of these awesome tours! Full of wonderful recommendations also!

Antonia really knows her city and gave a great paced tour. Clear, concise and always interesting. Would certainly do one of these tours again.

Priscilla was our tour guide and she was great! Spoke perfect English and had a ton of enthusiasm. She was very knowledgable and encouraged us to ask questions and be excited. She also gave a lot of recommendations for restaurants, nightlife, and other tours / museums. The tour took about 3 hours and ended with a drink!

What a cool way to learn about a city. The tours for tips journey with Priscilla was the first thing I did when getting to Valparaiso and it was terrific. We learned everything from its history to culture, and got tons of exercise and great tips for eating around the city during the rest of our holiday. Priscilla was smart,... More

Ignacio gave us an incredible introduction to Valparaiso. His knowledge, passion & humor showed through in his presentation. We came away with a broad understanding of the city and it's history. More importantly, we gained an appreciation of the culture, incredible beauty, and art of Valparaiso. We highly recommend Tours for Tips.

We met our clearly marked guides (in the red and white striped 'Where's Waldo' shirts) in the square. They checked us off and suggested the use of the bathroom at a cafe nearby (for no charge). We then came back as the larger group coalesced. We were sent off with Ignacio who gave our tour in English. Nevermind his gorgeous... More

We've got lots of hints what to see and to do, where to eat... Chance to get more information about everything you wanted to know in the... More

This came highly recommend by a fellow traveller and our hostel owner! The where's Wally gimmick (wearing the red and white stripped shirt) is a great way to locate them through the crowd in the main square. It was by far the best free walking tour that we have done since getting to South America - with that said you... More

Friendly and informative. The next day we coincidentally came across the tour and the guide greeted us and answered a question we had. Nice people.

The guides are absolutely passionate about the city and are more than happy to tell you everything about it. They really love their job, they show you special and hidden places that you couldn't reach by car. Really personal, really touching and if you're going on this tour at the beginning of your trip, you know what to do and... More
