This was honestly our best day in Valparaiso. Our day began after lunch with a walk through the produce markets to select our ingredients for the afternoons class. Once in class, our teacher Ines was lovely. We began with a wine tasting & then the fun began. The meals were brilliant & we all had an afternoon we won't forget!

If you would like to get to know more than monuments in Valparaiso, this class surely will help you ! We have cooked good recipes and it was very informal: chef Vlad indeed conversed freely about his everyday life with smile, jokes and glasses of wine. We will bring great souvenirs with us back home !

This was a cooking experience I'll never forget! Starting with shopping for ingredients at the local market, Chef Boris took us on an epic journey through his country's gastronic treats, and shook up some damn fine Pisco Sours.

One of my friends arranged this private class and it was so worth it! I highly recommend the experience. From shopping at the local market to wine tasting to preparing tasty dishes that make Chilé so special, the night was wonderful and one I will never forget. We adored Boris, who taught us about the culture, traditions and even geography... More

A great way to get to know the Chilean culture! To experience the market first, and then learning a fair bit of quite a few traditional recipes. Our chef Ines was lovely! Very very kind, and because she lived in various parts of the world she could tell us a lot about the differences to other cultures and countries. We... More

This class with you was a real pleasure. Everything was enjoying, interesting, colorful, funny, musical, pedagogic, and off course...tasteful ! From the local chilean wine discovering (I could appreciate later some carmenere), to the empenada intimates, to the good moment laughing with you. Et pour les visiteurs français, je rajouterais que ce cours de cuisine est une excellente façon de... More

In 2013 the Cooking School advertised the “Ultimate Foodie Week” -- a seven day program that included seven night accommodation at a B&B, cooking classes and tours/fieldtrips. I signed up and arrived in Valparaiso in April, 2014. I emailed with the owner, Martin Turner and tweaked the program to include two cooking classes and two field trips. Cost was $840... More

We had a great time on our cooking course; Boris was a great teacher, the market was fun, the wine tasting generous as was the pisco sour making and we ate some lovely food and have some excellent recipes to take away with us. Was as practical and hands on as it can be with a group of 6 making... More

Had a lovely day, started in the markets and then had a nice wine tasting before starting to cook. The recipes were simple and delicious, will certainly keep the skills learnt today and use it for a dinner party when home. Lovely chef took care of us all day, he (Vlad) was wonderfully accommodating. The whole day is well planned,... More
