I enjoyed go there because talks a lot about Santiago history, the only thing is that the Palacio de la Moneda could have more things, it is huge but was almost empty...
I wasted 25min in line under the sun to show my passport to the police. When i was finally inside, they told me that every room in the Palace was closed, then I HAD TO LEAVE, after literally 2 minutes inside. Waste of time.
One of the moust amazing plaza´s i ever visited, a must visit for shore for a tourist. I visited this Plaza in March 2008. It is a place to be at least 10 minuts just to watch carefuly to believe in such an amazing archictecture.
Lots of awkward traipsing thru construction to get to entrance Inside dedicated to a visiting Italian design show Artesano shop is also in Pueblo Dominicos & the airport..but high quality handicrafts I.e. art so if you see something there that you desire don't count on finding it elsewhere A few blocks west on Almeda is the original Cafe Torres..definitely worth... I went there and there was almost nothing inside. There is a white patio with a exposition of some of the arms used by the army I believe..There is a 10-15 minutes waiting line to go in there, take your documentation it is necessary to visit the place
It's just below the Palacio de La Moneda, convenient to visit during your tour to the palace. I really enjoyed the tour. They sell all sort of gifts with good value. The place has a zen touch and walks you though contemporary art of Chile. Worth visiting!
It's the place to go with you like history and art. Even if you don't like any of these too much, it's worth the visit. You can have a coffee in the café, and check some interesting articrafts in the shop inside this cultural center.
