We were interested in watching a play or something in this Theater since everyone said good things about it, but we were unlucky as it was closed. The façade is beautiful and worth to pass by if you are downtown

Currently closed when I visited Santiago in mid-December. Orchestral Concerts were transferred to the Caupolican Theatre (indoor stadium with surprisingly good acoustics). Philharmonic Orchestra of Santiago is excellent.

tried several times but it will not accept my passport number and there is no phone number listed. It looks like another person had the same problem.

A real pleasure to see a performance in such a charming old world theatre. Mind you, the best seats cost a motza.

Caught the triple treat of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Santiago, Crecer Cantando Choir and Ballet de Santiago in the spectacular combination of dance, music and voice of Zorba the Greek'. Thought we had died and gone to heaven!!!!!!

I'm not a snob, I really like classical music and opera. Do you like it too? Then Teatro Municipal is a great place for you to go to spend free time. Though tickets are quite expensive! Seats in Galeria was my solution. The only thing you need to do - to come one hour before performance starts to take a... More

A modern facility of medium size.I am not fond of long sweeping auditoriums, I prefer the intimacy of 1 balcony houses, but this house isn't bad. They spent way too much money backstage for equipment you may use once every 5 years, but that is the nature of publicly funded buildings.Nice dressing rooms, good lobby space, and access to parking.

This is one of the most beautifull buildings from downtown Santiago. The paintings on the roof and the architecture were astonishing. If you go to Santiago, this is a must.
