This museum is incredibly interesting. Placards are in English and Spanish and tell the stories and traditions of the pre-colombian cultures throughout Latin America. The pieces are very well-preserved and incredibly detailed. I was much more impressed with this museum than Bellas Artes. more

Travel guides recommend this museum as the best in Santiago, likely because its placards are bi-lingual. If you are interested in the early history, particularly pottery and weaving, of indigenous tribes, this is definitely the place for you. If that's not one of your favorite topics, it's worth a quick trip through to get a bit of a feel for... more

The museum had a fantastic collection of pre-columbian art.The early textile fabrics were amazing and the early pottery simply beautiful.This is a must do whilst in Santiago.The museum is well laid out and easy to view.Most artifacts were donated by the Larain family personel collection.You only need about one hour here as the museum is rather small. more
