The Lagoon on our ranch, Bluff Cove, is home to 3,000 Gentoo Penguins, a growing colony of King Penguins, and an abundance of other spectacular wildlife on a beautiful wilderness beach only reached by our 4x4 vehicles. Home-baking and delicious local flavours are served with live music in the Sea Cabbage Café. The Museum tells the story of Bluff Cove. Our award winning tour is a fabulous combination of Falkland wildlife, heritage and hospitality.

If you have the time and your body can take the bumps, ride in a 4 wheel drive vehicle to Bluff Cove. There you will see hundreds of gentoo penguins and Magellanic penguins, with a few king penguins there, too. Unlike some places where you have to observe the penguins from a distance, you can sit or even lie on... More

We did this as a shore excursion off of a cruise. This was the best value and the closest of all of the penguin colonies. You take a four wheel drive vehicle to the cove. It was fun. It reminded me of being on safari in Africa except it was cold! A game warden had marked off with white flags... More

We were picked up at the dock and taken by van about halfway there. Then we transferred to 4x4 jeeps for a drive over the peat bogs to the lagoon. The penguins were wonderful. We saw hundreds of Gentoo and King Penguins up close and enjoyed a wonderful visit to the small museum and gift shop on the beach as... More

We visited Bluff Cove as part of a tour from the cruise ship. We were met at the dock in Stanley and driven by 16 passenger van to a drop off point about 25 minutes away. From there we were taken in 4 person 4 X 4 Land Rovers off roading across the peat for about 20 minutes to the... More

We were on the Celebrity Infinity that docked in Port Stanley on Tuesday 24th February. The trip is just a must, and we have to thank all the team who did the shuttle bus/land rover duties, just a great team. Mustn't forget the ladies in the Sea Cabbage Café and the adjacent museum who provide tea/coffee and some marvellous home... More

We recently came by ship to Port Stanley. We booked a tour through PWatts on line. Dave met us at the Visitors Center and we traveled with two other 4x4's to make it safe. It was a long bumpy ride at times, but the 4x4's were comfy. You ride across the peet bogs until you reach the water When you... More

We were on the Celebrity Infinity in Feb. 2015 and booked this excursion through the ship. We went by a small bus shuttle from the pier to an area outside of town where we were met with Land Rovers. 4 people were then shuttled in each Land Rover over rough terrain down to the Cove where the Penguins were located.... Every tourist should take this tour unless you can't handle rough rides. We had a great guide from dock to where we picked up Land Rovers; then Michael took us across the bumpy fields to the rookery. Both he and Stella were great sources of info. and history of island and people. The ride across the field took awhile and... More

We have seen penguins before, but this was the best experience I've had. This is also one of the best tours I have purchased from the cruise ship and glad I did. Although I think you can tender in off the cruise ship and see if any of the locals will do this for less, it is totally worthwhile. You are... More

Picked up at the pier by mini coach (held 14 people I think) and driven to a lay-by past fields being cleared of landmines! Then transferred to a Landover (4 people in each). Drove over some pretty rough private terrain down to the cove. I’ve seen Penguins before in New Zealand but had to wait till dusk to see at... More
