The Lagoon on our ranch, Bluff Cove, is home to 3,000 Gentoo Penguins, a growing colony of King Penguins, and an abundance of other spectacular wildlife on a beautiful wilderness beach only reached by our 4x4 vehicles. Home-baking and delicious local flavours are served with live music in the Sea Cabbage Café. The Museum tells the story of Bluff Cove. Our award winning tour is a fabulous combination of Falkland wildlife, heritage and hospitality.

After interesting ride from Stanley by both mini bus and Land Rover we were able to approach and photograph both Gentoo and King penguins. Watch them go to and from the sea. Finally we strolled to the well hidden gem of the Sea Cabbage Cafe where we enjoyed a traditional cream tea,not just one cake,we sampled a few of the... More

You get to Bluff Cove via Land Rover driven by locals. That's already a plus. When you get there, you are among the penguins. They have their territory; you have yours. Sometimes the penguins make your territory theirs. There's a great canteen and gift store, providing ample opportunities to do other things than commune with penguins -- but that's what... More

After a friendly greeting from Kevin we were transferred to the land rovers for the 20 minute ride out to the lagoon. Once there we had a little over the hour to get up close and personal with the Gentoo and King Penguins and visit the Sea Cabbage Cafe. We had a great time meeting the folks in the cafe... More

Although the ride out to the lagoon was rough, we agree this is the best place to see penguins up close. We saw Magellanic, Gentoo, and King penguins in one place. The Sea Cabbage Café had a lovely assortment of cakes. We especially liked the scones served with Diddle Dee Jam.

If you have the good fortune to visit the Falklands, you must make time to take advantage of this extraordinary experience. You will wish you had more time to spend, and want to return! After a 20 minute information packed drive out to the farm, and another 20 minute romp in a 4x4 over the fields and out to the... More

If you want to see hundreds of Gentoo penguins with 20 or so king penguins then this is the place to go. We had a fabulous time and our 8 year old was thoroughly intrigued. Hattie and Keith have certainly done a wonderful job converting a sheep farm to a major tourist destination. We thoroughly recommend this as a MUST... More

Wanted to visit Bluff Cove lagoon, but not on P & O's tours. Got in touch with an extremely helpful Keith & Hetty who have now got this included on Arcadia's visit on 30 Jan 2016 and other Carnival arrivals. If you haven't already booked a tour re-visit your Cruise Personaliser and have a look. Looking forward to meeting Keith... More

My husband and I took the Bluff Cove Penguin Rookery Tour offered from our Holland Cruise. It was a great tour to see both Gentoo and King penguins. We only had to travel about 20 minutes in a van and then another 20 minutes in a 4 x 4 (which was over very bumpy terrain) before we arrived at our... More

We visited when most of the younger generation of King Penguins had turned from soft grey to their adult tuxedo look. The parents were on one beach, and the adolescents were on their own beach to learn to feed themselves. The beach is clearly marked for human visitors to keep their distance; even observing that limit, we were the closest... More

Excellent from start to finish. Well organised, knowledgable staff and fab wildlife. Great bit of off-roading to get there and gorgeous cakes before we left. Definitely book it!
