I arrived in Singapore in the afternoon and on the advice of other reviews headed for Clarke Quay intending to do an evening tour. Lots of uncrowded bars and restaurants nearby for an early evening drink or a snack with direct views of the river. I bought my ticket once it was dark and took up the more expensive Laser... More

Was a great way to see the city by water, although it was quite pricey. There was an audio/visual guide explaining some of the areas which was a nice touch. Next time we'd like to take more time to hop on and off to check out the different areas more closely.

Quaint little boat - and for quite a bit of the trip we were the only ones on so would recommend using outside of busy times if you can. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Recorded commentary that had some interesting information. Kids loved the novelty and it was worth it for that but rather expensive otherwise at s$25 for... More

We chose an afternoon cruise which we were told would leave in 10 minutes. 10 minutes turned into over 30 as the not very pleasant people in charge kept letting groups of tourists (who, had obviously pre booked as part of a tour) go ahead of us. It was a steamy hot day and we were almost going to,give it a... More

We had a half-day free in Singapore and the haze was getting heavy so we decided to take the Bumboat Tour on the river (40-minute tour). We had the boat to ourselves and two or three other people, so it was very relaxing moving slowly from Clarke Quay down to the Merlion fountain and back again. The recorded video guide... More

River cruise at 30 Sing. dollars comes close to a price matching only if you are the first time visitor of Singapore and if the tour is in the evening. Apparently, Singapore's tourist destination accumulates to not a bigger space, so anyhow if you have already roam around its a high chance that you won't be seeing any new places... More

Our first day in Singapore, arrived very early in the morning so wanted some low key sightseeing to start with. Thoroughly enjoyed the River Cruise with commentary on local sights. Hopped off at Marina Bay to wander through the gardens and mall then back to Clarke Quay. A perfect way to learn some of Singapore’s history.

There are different companies that do this same trip but we chose the 'River Explorer' company (they all looked similar). The boats are wooden and quite charming. They are electric so really quiet which we saw as a bonus. Each boat seats about 40 people, so they're fairly small. Mostly shaded inside seats - open to the fresh air. (No... More

We were told by our hotel concierge that the last boat trip from Clarke quay departed at 2230 hours. So after a busy day during our short stay in Singapore we presented ourselves at the Ticket counter a few minutes before departure at 2230 only to be told that the last boat had already departed!!! There were also some other... More
