It’s no wonder why St Andrew’s Cathedral is one of Singapore’s most treasured works of architecture. Gazetted as a national monument on 1973, you’ll stand in awe at its majestic facade, with extended pinnacles and a glossy white exterior.

Cathedral was built by Indian convict labourers; it's an oasis of colonial architecture amidst Singapore's often-glorious modern architecture. Great that some of the old buildings have been so well preserved.

One of the few remaining Pre-war Churches in Singapore. The Architect is beautiful and the location is in the City. Good way to spend a quiet morning.

Since being to Singapore numerous times now for a business related task, I usually have a bit of time in between to visit and see a number of sites around the country. This time however, I decided I'd stay close and within the city limits and this time, chose a catholic church to view. This place was very impressive was... More

One of the most beautiful buildings in Singapore. Also, there are lots of interesting buildings nearby (e.g., Parliament House).

St Andrew's Cathedral recently celebrated its 150th anniversary. It is a beautifully constructed building of historic importance in this former colony of Singapore. Plaques honouring former officers of the British government provide an idea of the role played by the British administrators in the history of the country. The Cathedral is architecturally impressive and much care has been taken to... More

Hard to advise a fellow traveler on this as the reason why I look for hotels near this Church (Cathedral) is because I enjoy attending the Mass here. The church architecture is supposed to be one of its highlights but as I do not focus much on the physical aspects of this place it is unfair for me to rate... More

Just the most beautiful white building in Singapore other than Raffles Hotel. This church captures our attention. Many may not notice it as they walk by towards city hall MRT or laze about around Peninsula area. But this is a must see if you love monuments. A very old church. When you are inside, you feel you are back in... More

St Andrews Cathedral is located on a huge block with a massive open lawn at the front. The cathedral is large and very impressive. While the main entrance was closed, the side entrance was open – don’t be deterred if one entrance is closed – check the others. The interior of the church is lovely – a huge space full... More

Such a delightful, quiet place in the centre of the City Hall area. I have been popping into the Cathedral every visit to Singapore over the last 27 years. As soon as I walk through the gates I feel a sense of calm. The Cathedral is small, but I enjoy wandering around and reading the plaques on the wall. People... More

The country’s largest church is near Singapore central area and it’s quite beautiful. It won’t take too much to see it for sure it’s worth it.
