Spent several hours at the discovery centre. Really interesting. Make sure you spend $3 more and get the bus tour including the military museum. Very easy to get to on the MRT.

This place is located right at the end of the East-West line - about a 10 min walk from Joo Koon station. We came on a Saturday morning in an attempt to escape the haze problem currently facing Singapore. Entrance is free for locals, but you'll have to pay $10 if you bring your helper or any other foreigners (which... More

To escape the haze, we brought two 6-YO and one 18month old to the discovery centre. It turned out to be quite a good decision. The 6YOs had fun with the interactive exhibits and collected the stamps to exchange for a recyclable bag. Lunch was not that expensive , considering there was only one "Canteen" there. As Singaporeans, the entrance... More

I visited SDC with some children last 05 August 2015. We came with no booking and unfortunately for that day, a large delegation of students from China were expected so even though we wanted a guide, none was available. However, the counter staff guy where we paid our tickets was very accommodating and even suggested we could join other groups... More

Out on the far side of Singapore it showed a lot of info about the growth and potential improvements for the area. Definitely more for locals and school kids I think. Some interactive stuff to do.

It is more for local audience and this centre is too far to reach, it doesn't worth the trip to go down that far down. It showcases how Singapore developed as a country, however I think they have put too much emphasis on the bombing evacuation plan, which becomes the only thing I could recall if you were to ask... The focus is on Singapore's national history and military with the objective of providing Singaporeans with a sense of nationhood given that the country is a young nation. Given this the main target audience is towards school groups, the displays as aim at a younger audience. As it is located some way out of the main town and away from... More

There is nothing much to see in the Singapore Discovery Centre. I think it is for local citizen and nothing great for tourist. The bus ride for the camp is meaningful if you are interested in the Singapore military. The good thing is free parking and free admission for locals.

A great place to start if you want to know more about the local culture. Friendly staff, all wore a smile. Paddle boats were fun $2 for 15 minutes, really good price. Exhibits were well maintained. Free entry for residents and tickets include a bus tour too. Far from the city but worth the travel.
