Description: Sitting on prime waterfront at Marina Bay, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay...
Sitting on prime waterfront at Marina Bay, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay offers a complete lifestyle experience in dining, shopping and the performing arts. It was completed in 2002 and is well-recognised for its “prickly” exterior similar to the durian, a popular local fruit.

During the weekend they offer free concerts here. Nice if you want to see local artist and enjoy good music for free and get intouch with locals.

Very well maintained and a cool area for a stroll or to just sit and relax. Nice venue for performances or shows as well (though I personally didn't see one).

We had a pleasure visiting this theatre for the second time last night as we went to watch "Masterpiece in Motion" premier by Singapore Dance Theatre and it was an amazing experience. The show was memorable, especially the last act by local choreographer called "Opus 25" very impressive. Ticket price didn't bite either comparing to costs at Marina Bay Sands... More

The building itself is a magnet for tourist The inside is great, and better to search for the performing artist when you visit, or you can still enjoy the free one outside it There's a small mall that provide foods and drinks if you're hungry

I've visited Esplanade twice during my visits in Singapore and it is simply a beautifully designed and modern space. There are fantastic shows and performances all the time and I love that they often have public performances on the bay and inside the theatre. The staff is consistently great and efficient in typical Singapore fashion.

Lovely place. Lots of choices for food. Theatre experience is good. I really like that they block phone signals. Experience much better than MBS Sands Theatre.

It's easy to be snooty about Singapore Arts (and I have been, elsewhere), but the Esplanade is the jewel in the crown and a worthy one at that. Architecturally cool (albeit redolent of a hedgehog), 2 fine auditoria and a magnet for visiting talent, both actors and musicians. Highlight for me Kevin Spacey's Richard III - alright, a little too... More

A great place for concerts, plays and an iconic structure on the Singapore skyline. Sometime during the weekends, they do have some performances along the bay just outside the building or even sometimes have have performances in the atrium of Esplanade too. drop by for an evening filled with arts and cultural experience and you can have your dinner here... Staying in Marina Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighborhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.
