Nothing much to see and do but at the entrance a huge cat is there to welcome you. Its name is Cempedak, (Malay word for jackfruit). I guess he's named that way because he actually is as big as a huge jackfruit. Aside from that cat, I was quite bored with the place so I didn't spend a lot of... More

St. John island is about 6.5 km to the south of the main island of Singapore. It's 40.5 hectare hilly island was transformed in the 1970s into a tranquil getaway with swimming lagoons, beaches, picnic grounds, trekking routes and soccer fields. It is a good weekend relaxing place. You can also rent chalets and bunks for a family hideout. Walk... More

We were excited to go island hopping and see some wildlife, but St. John's Island is very small and there really isn't a lot there. We spent most of our time bored out of our heads just sat on a beach waiting for the ferry. The Island itself is nice, but we were a little sad at the amount of... More

Great outdoors. The island is for nature lovers. Lots of wild life to be found in the lagoons and on the island itself. Paradise.

Had a good family outing on the island. If you are looking for a place away from the city on weekends, then this is the place. Try to plan your visit during high tide as it will be an enjoyable place to swim. If time permit, chat with the island caretaker and learn about the history of the island. The... More

Really Great day out. You feel miles away from the city. The island doesn't have any shops so take your own water and snacks. The beaches are great to swim at and the land nice to explore, lots of cats, you might want to take some cat food, but I think the fishermen feed them well. better to go early... More

Despite what is advertised in the website, there is only 1 boat that arrives on the island at 10.30am and leaves at 2.30pm - miss the first and you won't get there, miss the former and you're stranded in the island until the next day! And you won't want that to happen coz there aren't any lodging available for visitors.... More

I am a beachgoer, that's reason why I am looking the beautiful beach in countries I visited. St John's Island and Lazarus are one of them in Singapore. If you want to visit Singapore and enjoy the taste of beach, then let's try to go there. I visited there last week by ferry, you guys can look at this website... More

Surprisingly, not many Singaporeans know about these beautiful, well preserved islands. St Johns is an interesting place to explore, however after having a half an hours stroll I would highly recommend to visit Lazarus Island. You can reach it by the bridge which is fairly near to where the ferry drops you off. When you reach Lazarus, don't stay on... More

Its my family trip to St.John Island & Kusu Island - One ferry ticket can use to visit both islands, its cleanest and green Island for relaxation. 1. No need to worry about telcos network reception for mobile phone & internet. 2. Must bring food, water & tit-bits - No business outlet at all. 3. Clear & muddy water -... More
